Poll Shows Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Men Playing In Women’s Sports
Supporters of allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports got some bad news today. A new poll by The Washington Post and the University of Maryland shows that the American people are overwhelmingly against that.

The majority of Americans believe that greater social acceptance of transgender people is good for society, but they overwhelmingly reject transgender women being permitted to compete in sports against biological women, according to a new poll.
A Washington Post-University of Maryland survey released Tuesday asked a random national sample of adults whether they think “transgender women and girls should or should not be allowed to compete in sports with other women and girls at each of the following levels.”
The majority – 58% – said it should not be allowed in college or professional sports, compared to 28% who said it should. Fifty-five percent of respondents said it shouldn’t be allowed in high school sports, compared to 30%, and 49% said it shouldn’t be allowed in youth sports, compared to 33%.
Despite what far-left activists want you to think, this is common sense. There is a reason why men and women compete as separate genders in sports competitions. That is because men are physically stronger than women.
If you doubt that men are physically stronger than women, set up an MMA fight between a man and a woman. It would end in a disaster for the woman. Science shows that trans women retain athletic advantages over biological women.
Right now, we are in the midst of a new sexual revolution where many on the far-left are essentially trying to erase women. They’re trying to claim that a biological man who is transgender is the same as someone born as a woman.
The latest case in point is state-funded NPR reducing women to “people who menstruate”:
Most Americans are fine with accepting transgender people as the poll shows. But at the same time, they don’t want to make things unfair for biological women or erase women.
Protecting women’s sports is a winning issue. This is one issue that conservatives should fight.
