Democracy Is Only In Danger If The Left Loses An Election

Democrats and their media lapdogs like making the claim that electing Republicans will put democracy in danger. That type of rhetoric is designed to motivate the Democrat Party’s Karen base to treat every election like an emergency.

But what is never asked is what do Democrats mean by “democracy.” Do Democrats actually believe that Republicans will suspend elections and install a totalitarian state?

President Joe Biden may have given the whole game away when he commented on Italy’s recent election which brought a national-conservative government into power. “You just saw what’s happened in Italy in that election. You’re seeing what’s happening around the world. The reason I bother to say that is you can’t be sanguine about what’s happening here either” Biden said in comments he made about democracy.

Pointing out what happened in Italy as a threat to democracy is simply absurd. Don’t take my word for it, just listen to a former leftist Italian prime minister.

Matteo Renzi was the Italian prime minister from 2014-2016. He’s a lefty but tells CNN:

What people like Joe Biden mean by “democracy is in danger” is not so much democracy actually in danger. Instead, they’re afraid that they may lose an election and take actually have their policies not enacted or even worse may have those policies reversed.

I have some news for the left. In an actual democracy, there are multiple options on the ballot, not just progressives and “me too” progressive lite. In addition, the left may actually lose an election on occasion. Suggesting that the left must always win every election or “democracy is in danger” is kinda undemocratic.

Then again we really shouldn’t take Joe Biden and the left seriously when they talk about “democracy is in danger” if they don’t win. After all, this is an administration that is working to censor social media and turn law enforcement into a weapon against political dissidents. These are not the actions of a pro-democracy administration.

When the left talks about democracy in danger, just realize they are talking about liberalism. Then it will all start making sense.
