When Life Gives You Lemons, Order Lobster
The Biden administration is long on hypocrisy and short on truth. It began during the campaign when Biden appeared to be against legislating by executive order.
“I have this strange notion; we are a democracy there are things you can’t do by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus.”
Of course he did the exact opposite. In his first January, Biden issued a mind boggling 22 executive orders. In comparison, Obama who ranks second issued 9 while Trump issued only 7.
Since then, Biden has demonstrated a propensity for both lying and hypocrisy on an almost daily basis. All you have to do is pick a subject and then watch in disgust as his sanctimonious deceptions ooze to the surface.
Take the southern border. Biden and his cabal claim at every turn that the border is secure, all the while knowing full well that it is anything but. Biden ignores the pain to counties that are suffering under the weight of the insurgence. He ignores the drugs entering the country, the human trafficking, and the death this onslaught is bringing to our nation.
How about Biden’s infrastructure bill. Americans know that “Infrastructure” refers to repairing roads, bridges and modernizing public transit, but not even one third of the proposed 2 trillion in spending is actually being used in that manner. Some would argue that the percentage is even lower. In fact, there are those that claim that only 6 percent is true infrastructure spending. That’s what happens when you write a 2,700-page monstrosity that is long on confusion. When confronted with the hypocrisy of calling the proposal an Infrastructure spending bill, Biden’s brazen cronies actually tried to change the definition of the word infrastructure.
We really shouldn’t have been surprised by any of this when you consider that only 10 percent of the Biden administrations 1.9 trillion dollar “Covid Relief Bill” was actually directly related to Covid 19. The vast majority of it was earmarked for liberal pet projects and partisan indulgences.
The examples go on and on, from a clearly biased and tiered justice system, to the endless pandering for far left causes. The recent “College Loan Forgiveness Bill,”
is a slap in the face of those who have worked hard for many years to pay back their student loans. Does Biden care about this obvious hypocritical stance? Of course not.

Last year, federal regulators enflamed by environmentalists, looked to impose limits on the fishing lines used by lobstermen to secure their catch. The reason given was to protect North Atlantic Right Whales, which have been known to get entangled in the lines.
Naturally, the environmentalist are not interested in taking the human beings being affected by this into consideration. Like petulant children, they want what they want, and they want it now.
One such person is Jennifer Dianto Kemmerly. She is the vice president of global ocean conservation at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. The aquarium issues what is known as a “Seafood Watch,” which makes recommendations for maintaining sustainable fisheries. In September, the aquarium released an advisory urging consumers not to eat American Lobsters. They then placed both U.S. and Canadian Lobsters on its “Red List” of seafoods that should be avoided.
The reaction as you can imagine, was fairly predictable. Leftist retailers such as Whole Foods immediately stopped selling lobsters as did the meal delivery service Hello Fresh and other liberal restaurants.
This attack on lobstermen is part of the plan to have federal regulations stengthened for the protection of whales. However, a Maine Congressional delegation has no intention of taking this lying down.
A bipartisian group consisting of Republican Senator Susan Collins, Democratic Representative Jared Golden, Independent Senator Angus King and Democratic Representative Chellie Pingee have joined with Democratic Governor Janet Mills in a high pressure campaign against the Biden administration as it prepares to overhaul fishery regulations.
On October 5th the group argued that there hasn’t been a reported right whale death since 2004 that was caused by a Maine lobstermen line entanglement.
Chellie Pingee stated:
“Research has shown that the right whales have left Maine waters due to climate change, which led to an uptick in deaths from ship strikes and entanglements in Canadian waters.”
“Nevertheless, the Maine lobster industry has been forced to make dramatic changes and shoulder the cost of reducing right whale deaths, regardless of whether the right whale deaths can be linked to lobstering in the Gulf of Maine. If lobstermen and women are forced to comply with new regulations that make it impossible to continue fishing, then many coastal businesses will also be impacted, and many won’t survive.”
So with the lobster industry under a serious attack with tightening federal regulations and “Hair on Fire” liberal reactions by leftist restaurants and retailers, what does Joe Biden place on the menu for his first State dinner? You guessed it, Maine lobsters.
The White House had 200 Maine Lobsters delivered for the “butter poached lobster course” of the dinner. So while lobstermen in Maine fear for their livelihood, Biden feasts on the fruits of their labor.
The hypocrisy goes beyond Biden’s narcissism in this case. While average Americans struggle under Biden’s self-inflicted inflation, He indulges in decadence. All the while, liberal retailers won’t even make the same seafood available to American families.
This is just another example of the huge blind spot this administration has for the feelings, cares and concerns of Americans just trying to live their lives day to day.
