Parental Rights Bill Passes House; AOC Goes Bonkers
There is an old adage that says, “It’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.” While there is much debate over who first uttered this truism, the validity of its wisdom is sound.
AOC is a perfect example of the premise of this thought. If she had never uttered one word, based on her actions alone, she would be considered a fool. Unfortunately for us, she does speak and although it does prove her lunacy, it doesn’t diminish the aggravation that her flapping jaws cause.
Yesterday AOC once again proved how out of touch she is by wading into a subject that she knows absolutely nothing about. AOC who has no children, decided that it was appropriate to essentially call all American parents and those that support parental rights, fascists.
On March 24th Congress passed the “Parental Bill of Rights” by a vote of 213-208. That margin in itself is a disgrace and should speak loud and clear to the American public. The vote should have been unanimous. How can a bill that simply promotes common sense values and protects parental rights pass by such slim margin. The answer, EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT VOTED AGAINST THE BILL, JOINED BY FIVE REPUBLICANS.
All the Parental Bill of Rights Act would require, is that public schools be transparent about the curriculum that is being taught, as well as the materials that are being used. This would include providing a list of books being made available in student libraries.
The disturbing part about this entire dilemma is that it was caused by the far left. We would not need a Federal Parental Bill of Rights if the left hadn’t trampled down traditional values in an attempt to further their agenda through our children.
The Marxist left has become the arsonists of reason. Not content to have set our children’s moral ethics on fire, they then block and criticize those that try to extinguish their flames of hatred.
The bill also requires school boards to offer a minimum of two parent-teacher face-to-face meetings per year and to receive parental feedback.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy laid out what he calls the five pillars of parental rights:
“The Parental Bill of Rights has five pillars to ensure parents have the right to have a voice in their kids’ education: Right to know what’s being taught in schools and to see reading material; Right to be heard; Right to see school budget and spending; Right to protect their child’s privacy; and Right to be updated on any violent activity at school.”
Seriously, where is the controversy about anything that this bill states? As I said earlier, this bill only became necessary when the lunatics on the left took it upon themselves to change the rules.
No school district, individual school, or an individual teacher has any authority that supersedes that of a parent. Social grooming involving gender identity or sexual preferences are not the concerns of a public school board, school, or teacher and discussions concerning those topics should be banned. The curriculum, reading materials and teaching materials, should not be allowed to be hidden from parents. Bathrooms should be separated by biological birth sex, period. Simply put, that means biological men and boys use one restroom and biological women and girls use another. That separation should also apply to locker rooms as well as sports teams. Those few people that want to pretend to be another sex, do it at home. Stop victimizing those that aren’t suffering from an irrational delusion under the pathetic excuse of seeking equality. Those people need help, not encouragement. Not everything is acceptable, and pretending that it is will not help the afflicted, it will only weaken the values of the healthy. Failure to adhere to these rules should be considered criminal acts and need to be prosecuted as such.
As expected, liberal morons like AOC couldn’t contain themselves. Sounding very much like fingernails being scraped down a blackboard, she screeched that the GOP should:
“Keep the culture wars out of classrooms. When we talk about progressive values, I can say what my progressive value is and that is freedom over fascism! Thank you very much.”
The concept that socialists like AOC and her Democratic cronies refuse to grasp is that their “agenda” is not accepted by the large majority of parents. Parents have the right to be involved in the education of their children without interference from self-righteous state employees.
Instituting a Federal mandate to ensure rights that never should have been ignored is not fascism.
However, creating a unified movement to influence the minds of vulnerable children, hiding it from the parents, protecting those that execute the agenda and suppressing opposition to state control over parental rights doesn’t sound like fascism, it is fascism.
