The Only Thing Better Than Watching A Liberal Eat Their Words Is Watching Them Choke On Them

Liberal policies are failing everywhere. When they do It is absolutely necessary to shine a bright light upon the failures so maybe, just maybe, voters will stop electing these ideological screwballs into office.

Out in feces covered San Francisco, the City Supervisor Hillary Ronen, is now not just eating her words she’s choking on them. Obviously, Ronen has never heard the quote, “Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it,” but then again she graduated from Berkley, so it’s understandable.

Ronen first took office in 2017 and was then re-elected in November of 2020. While she was in office, she hitched her wagon to the George Soros backed District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who based his 2019 campaign almost entirely on what this idiot believed was justice reform. Boudin promised to end mass incarceration, to end cash bail, to establish a unit to review alleged wrongful convictions, to aggressively prosecute police misconduct, and to refuse to provide any assistance to federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

As if those things wouldn’t have been enough for rational people to avoid electing this Soros tool, look at his background. Seriously, his history was Screaming … “DON’T ELECT ME,” and yet they did.

In 1981, when Boudin was a baby, his parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were both members of the Weather Underground, a radical, militant Marxist organization. They drove the getaway car following an armed robbery of a Brinks truck in New York, in which a Brinks guard and two police officers were fatally shot. After they were convicted, Boudin was raised in Chicago by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, co-founders of the Weather Underground. These are the people that organized a series of bombings of public buildings to protest U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War and who were forced to live underground as fugitives for many years to avoid capture.

Halfway through his term in June of last year, San Francisco finally woke up from their woke induced slumber and recalled Boudin. Still you have to ask yourself, how in the hell was he ever elected.

Anyway, in 2020 following the lead of both Boudin and Mayor London Breed, Ronen joined them in support of Black Lives Matter. Remember, it was in 2020 when BLM riots were in full force. That would probably be a good time to increase the police budget, right?  Not if you are Mayor London Breed, he called for a $35 million dollar reduction in the police budget over a two year period.

As if that thinking wasn’t illogical enough, Ronen upped the ante, calling Breed’s proposal a “slap in the face” proclaiming, “We can’t just give lip service to this time and this movement.”

She pushed the envelope further suggesting that “police get out of the business of responding to homeless people being homeless, to plan on reducing the presence of law enforcement at public schools and to reconsider having mounted police at all.” Later stating. that by defunding the police department it would be repurposing “a system that is rotten to the core.”

We all know people that never seem to understand when to stop talking. Ronen could teach a class for over talking. As if the previous statements didn’t clarify her position, she felt the need to say more.

“I want to make it clear that I believe strongly in defunding the police and reducing the number of officers on our force. For decades we’ve had an imbalance in our city’s budget, with hundreds of millions of dollars going to SFPD to have them do work they are not qualified to do.”

Apparently, Breed agreed with her because instead of the $35 million dollar reduction he suggested, he ended up removing $120 million dollars from the police and sheriffs budget.

The number of full-time SFPD officers now stands at 1,514. For comparison, there were 1,872 in 2017 and 1,840 in 2019.

Neighborhood watch publishes a crime index. On a scale of 0 – 100, with 100 being the safest, San Francisco Scored a 2. Further reducing those numbers indicate that the odds of being a victim of a violent crime now stands at 1 in 186 and becoming a property crime victim is a frightening 1 in 20.

Between January 1st and March 12th, SFPD reports that there were 66 arsons reported, 5,505 larceny thefts, 1062 burglaries, 428 assaults, 525 robberies, 39 rapes, 1,123 motor vehicle robberies and 9 murders. That is just in the first 2-1/2 months of the year.

In areas under Ronen, Mission, Bayview and Ingleside accounted for a staggering percentage of the reported crimes. 41 percent of the arsons, 18 percent of larceny thefts, 30 percent of burglaries, 38 percent of assaults, 37 percent of robberies, 36 percent of the rapes, 50 percent of motor vehicle thefts and 66 percent of the murders. Also, at least 50 percent of the human trafficking reports have taken place in Ronen’s district.

Only In Your State is one of the world’s leading travel and culture websites with writers across all 50 U.S. states. Only In Your State was launched in 2015 with the goal of connecting passionate people and discovering the best or worst  of what each state in the U.S. has to offer.

In the Only In Your State rankings, two zones in Ronen’s district are rated as “the most dangerous in San Francisco, especially after dark.”

At a Budget and Appropriations Committee meeting last week, Ronen unbelievably tried to spin her woke recklessness on the very police force she verbally denigrated and crippled financially.

“I’ve been begging this department to give Mission what it deserves in terms of police presence all year long and I’ve been told time and time again there are no officers that we can send to Mission.”

She then went on to whine, “It Hurts and I feel betrayed by the department. I feel betrayed by the mayor. I feel betrayed by the priorities of the city.”

For conservatives, it’s hard to imagine that someone can be this blind and tone deaf, and yet it comes so natural to the Marxist left. Not only do they have an inane ability to make horrible decisions, they then shamelessly blame others for what they screw up. Wake up San Francisco, while there are still some clean spots on your sidewalks and people willing to stick around to walk on them.
