One Dummy To Another, Buttigieg Spends $20 Million Taxpayer Dollars On Female Crash Dummies

There are two things that are glaringly obvious. One, the U.S. government can piss more money away than any institution on the planet and two, Pete Buttigieg is one of the most unqualified people ever at his job.

In one of the most ironic situations I can remember, you have a dummy lobbying for more dummies, with another dummy acting as his cheering session.

Yesterday, Buttigieg hauled his useless butt to another House appropriations subcommittee meeting to request $20 million dollars from Congress for …. Female crash dummies.

My issue with this isn’t what you may think. Statistically, females are injured more seriously than men in severe crashes. However, the reasons for that are already known. For instance, women are generally lighter than men so they are thrown forward at a higher rate of acceleration. This causes both seatbelt and more frequent whiplash injuries. The remedy for this is softer or more pliable seat backs. Another problem is that women are generally shorter than men, so they have to sit closer to the steering wheel to operate the pedals. Depending on the vehicle, some manufacturers consider this positioning to be “out of position” driving.

My problem with this is the obvious grandstanding by Buttigieg and other Democrats. Immediately, Representative Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut, became Buttigieg’s cheering section:

“This will start to fight the gender inequity among vehicle safety and crash victims.” Then quick to take her share of the credit, DeLauro added, “This is an area I’ve written to you about.”

According to the DOT, the money would go “to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, and research on the effect of vehicle size and weight on pedestrian safety,”

Isn’t it interesting that EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT in the House voted against a bill that would keep biological men from competing against women in sporting events, but suddenly care so much about female crash dummies.

This is nothing more than a distraction, a very weak attempt by uncaring Democrats to look like they’re throwing women a bone.

Crash dummies have traditionally been built to replicate the height and weight of an adult male, but those are parameters not gender. The dummy is not a male. Just like child dummies are built to replicate the approximate size and weight of a 12-year-old girl. The height of 4 foot 8 inches tall and corresponding weight are parameters, the dummy is not female.

As I stated earlier, car manufacturers are already aware of the issues that cause women, because of their physical makeup, to be injured more severely in crashes. They know the design changes that need to be made, the question is can those changes be incorporated into the manufacturing process without sacrificing safety in other areas.

It’s a joke that on the same day Democrats voted against maintaining fairness in women’s sports, they would pretend to give a damn about female test dummies.

It is appropriate though that the Biden administration used one of their favorite tools, Buttigieg, to orchestrate this clown show. After all, he was the one who took two full months off for “maternity leave” in the middle of a supply chain crisis.
