Draining the Swamp: Project 2025

“Drain the Swamp!” That phrase was one of the key rallying cries of the America First movement during President Trump’s first presidential campaign in 2016. For years, conservative Americans have recognized that the Federal bureaucracy (known as the “Deep State”) has regularly undermined Conservative presidential administrations and their policy agendas.

The harsh reality is that the countless number of unelected bureaucrats in the Federal government heavily support Liberal political candidates and staunchly oppose Conservative policies. In fact, there were many documented instances of bureaucrats hindering President Trump’s MAGA agenda through leaks and other obstructive activities throughout his administration. While there were many victories during the Trump presidency, the first half of the administration was marred with bureaucratic interference and staffing issues.

Fortunately, Presidential Personnel Office (PPO) director John McEntee and other patriots solved the staffing issues of the Trump administration in 2020. McEntee and others removed the Establishment Republicans political appointees in the administration and replaced them with America First patriots to staff the Trump administration. The revamped staffing of the administration led to staggering victories in 2020 despite the COVID pandemic–including a drastic cut in immigration in 2020 and the implementation of USCMA trade agreement.

Certainly, the Swamp was much deeper than most anticipated back in 2016. So heading into the 2024 Presidential election, you may wonder how can Conservatives defeat the Deep State? How can the next Conservative president enact an America First policy agenda? Is it even possible to actually “Drain the Swamp”?

Thankfully, an initiative called Project 2025 looks to tackle the issue of Deep State interference.

What is Project 2025?

Led by the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 is a group effort of over 50 conservative organizations to staff the next Conservative presidential administration in 2025. Some notable partners involved with Project 2025 include the Leadership Institute, the Family Research Council, American Moment, Hillsdale College, and many more.

Project 2025 is based on four pillars: Policy Agenda, a Personnel Database, Training, and the “180-day Playbook“. These four pillars will all play a pivotal role in setting up the next Conservative president in a position to successfully enact Conservative policy. While all four pillars are important in their own right, the one that I found most interesting is the “Personnel Database” pillar. Some have likened Project 2025’s Personnel Database as a “Conservative Linkedin” for the next Presidential administration. For this pillar, Project 2025 leaders encourage Conservatives far-and-wide to submit an application and become a participant in the Personnel Database. Participants selected for the Database will have access to online trainings and have the opportunity to serve in the next Conservative Presidential administration.

Overall, Project 2025 is taking on an enormous task in staffing the next Conservative presidential administration. Let’s hope that they are successful in this endeavor as the future of the Conservative movement, the next Presidential administration, and the future of America depends on it. Conservatives need to help finish what President Trump started in 2016 and fully “drain the swamp” once and for all in 2025. Fortunately, Project 2025 and its leaders are up to the task.
