Kari Lake Proves Arizona Elections are Rigged but Leftists Don’t Care

On Monday, Kari Lake lost her last and most compelling argument to overturn the results of the 2022 election.

For those who don’t follow Arizona politics, Lake lost the race for governor to Democrat radical Katie Hobbs by 17,117 votes in an election plagued by significant voting irregularities.

In challenging the results, Lake brought a number of serious charges against Maricopa County election officials, including corrupt chain of ballot custody, voter disenfranchisement due to malfunctioning ballot printers, and improper signature validation on mail-in ballots.

Despite strong testimony that seemed to suggest the ballot printing issue was deliberate, and the chain of custody breaches were grossly incompetent, all the original charges were dismissed. However, on appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court, the signature verification issue was referred back to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson for review. Ultimately, Thompson rejected Lake’s argument a second time, essentially ensuring Katie Hobbs remains governor of Arizona.

During the re-trial, Lake’s lawyers provided compelling evidence that exposed the signature validation process as a complete sham. Former Maricopa County Assistant Elections Director Celia Nabor insisted on overriding 5,000 to 7,000 ballots that were rejected by the level 1,2 and 3 evaluation processes. Sworn testimony from a declarant confirmed there were no safeguards in place to prevent someone from approving invalid signatures during the verification process. In the 2020 election, Maricopa County had a signature rejection rate of 1.3%. Yet, based on a ballot signature review initiated by the Arizona Senate, experts testified that Maricopa County should have had a signature rejection rate of at least 12% in that election.

During the latest hearing, Lake’s lawyers presented video evidence and testimony that revealed an utterly flawed and shoddy process, where at least 70,000 ballot signatures were approved in less than two seconds, and 270,000 signatures were approved in less than three seconds. Anyone with a modicum of common sense would agree that the validity of someone’s signature cannot be determined with just a cursory glance. Even in light of clear and compelling evidence, Thompson concluded that election statutes don’t specify a specific length of time for signature examination, therefore, Lake’s argument was rejected.

The Root of Election Fraud Lies with the Signature Validation Process

The current method of validating mail-in ballots serves only one purpose: it provides a convenient method for nefarious leftists to rig elections. As usual, they hide behind their shield of faux self-righteousness, claiming that reasonable election integrity measures, such as in-person voting and paper ballots, disenfranchise minorities. Unfortunately, there is no realistic path to eliminating mail-in ballots, so the focus should be on ensuring their validity to the greatest extent possible.

At a minimum, it is absolutely essential that all mail-in ballots are accompanied by a copy of a state-issued ID. The left’s argument that such a requirement is too burdensome on minorities must be vigorously disputed. What are leftists actually saying when they make such claims? Are we to believe, as the left suggests, that minorities and the poor are too lazy or ignorant to make a copy of their driver’s license or another acceptable form of ID in order to help us ensure our elections are fair and honest?

Really?

If the left truly believes in such stereotypes, I can’t imagine anything more insulting or racist. The unwillingness of woke radicals to accept a reasonable and almost effortless solution to a massive societal problem exposes their agenda for what it is. Instead of working to protect voter rights while accepting sensible measures to ensure fair elections, they would rather continue the recent chaos and divisiveness that follows every national contest because they want to reserve the right to change the results.

The Kari Lake debacle has enormous implications for 2024. Now that Arizona has a woke, agenda-driven governor, you can bet there will be no election law reforms before the next cycle. In fact, with a Democrat Secretary of State overseeing the state-wide tabulation, a clearly biased Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and a person who dislikes white people supervising vote counting in corrupt Pima County, it’s easy to imagine 2024 will be more tainted than 2020 and 2022 combined.

And don’t forget, Arizona voters: there were 14 election integrity bills that never made it out of the senate when Republicans controlled both houses of the legislature, and there was a Republican governor in 2020-2022. They could have stopped all this nonsense, but they did nothing.
