The Border, The Economy, China, Fentanyl, Chocolate Milk (Guess Which One Biden Chooses?)
Sigh. When I see polls that show Biden’s approval rate is hovering around 38-40 percent, I can’t believe it. Some would think that is low, but I honestly can’t believe that there are that many Americans who are blind. Who in there right mind would vote for this incapacitated meat puppet? In around 28 months, Biden has proved to be beyond an unmitigated disaster. He has destroyed our border security, destroyed our energy independence, increased cartel activity including the deadly drug fentanyl, increased inflation to its highest rate in at least 45 years, inspired the radicalized left to promote transgenderism, which essentially has destroyed our educational system through division and has weakened us on every front in the view of the world.
Instead of addressing the REAL issues of the day, meaningful things that will help all U.S. Citizens, Sad, Sad, Sad, Uncle Joe instead spends his time piddling in matters that the petulant brats that make up his administration bring to his very limited attention.
Since before I was in school, when on a break or at lunch, you could choose to have either regular white milk, or chocolate milk. Somewhere along the line, it seems that strawberry was also added to the choices. I myself was a chocolate milk guy, so this latest bit of Biden ridiculousness really makes me shake my head in disbelief.
Understand this, chocolate milk isn’t the issue. This is another power flex by the Biden administration. This is just another in countless, small seemingly insignificant ways, that Biden is allowing the woke left to control anything that they can. These fascists don’t even want children to enjoy something as small as chocolate milk to be allowed, but they justify pornography in school libraries, drag queen shows, and promote transgenderism at every turn.
According to the Wall Street Journal, The Biden administration’s Department of Agriculture is considering banning flavored milk, including chocolate and strawberry in elementary and middle schools. This change is supposedly being considered because “new standards” concerning sugar and salt consumption may be adopted.
Naturally, supporters have to create reasons to justify this. They say that it will lessen childhood obesity, while opponents argue that it will stop children from drinking milk at all.
Katie Wilson, the Executive Director of the Urban School Food Alliance, offered a commonsense argument against the change.
“We want to take a product that most kids like and that has nine essential nutrients in it and say, You can’t drink this, you have to drink plain? What are we trying to prove?”
I can answer that Katie. These so called “do gooders” could care less about the children, what they want is control, and just as importantly, they want the ability to display and inflict that control.
Erica Lauren Kenney, a public health professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, made this nonsensical argument.
“From a public-health perspective, it makes a lot of sense to try to limit the servings of these flavored milks because they do have quite a lot of added sugar.”
The USDA proposed new guidelines for school meals earlier this year but has not addressed flavored milk. Chocolate is the favorite, however, whether it’s banned for certain kids or available for everyone at school, all flavored milk will need to comply with the new limit on added sugars levels.
The dairy industry has stepped up in the fight to keep flavored milk on school menus.
According to a group of thirty-seven milk processors, that supply over 90 percent of the school milk volume in the U.S., have stated their commitment to keeping flavored milk options available. They are committed to providing flavored milk that contains no more than ten grams of sugar per each eight ounce portion, which is in line with the new USDA limits
Jessica Gould, is the director of nutrition services for Littleton Public Schools in Colorado. She states that milk consumption “significantly decreased” during the pandemic when it was difficult to get.
In an interview with the Journal, she said:
“Do we want kids to get the calcium, the protein, the additional nutrients that are part of milk? Because when we were only providing white milk, we did see a significant amount of students didn’t take milk in general.”
The dairy industry provides approximately $2 billion dollars of milk to schools on an annual basis. The decision will affect around thirty million students on the government’s school meals program. Currently, schools have to provide at least two options. One has to be plain white milk, either fat free or 1 percent or flavored milk under the same guidelines, but schools are not allowed to provide 2 percent or whole milk.
I have to admit, I was not aware that 2 percent or whole milk was not permitted in schools. In my humble opinion, …. That is bullsh*t.
Of course, there is always a snowflake that loves to provide an explanation.
In this case, it’s Erin Hennessy, a professor at Friedman School of Nutritional Science and Policy at Tufts University. In an interview with the Journal she stated:
“We know taste and food preferences really do form early in life and stay with you. The more protective we can be of our children during those developmental windows is a good thing in the long run.”
A typical fascist, Marlene Schwartz, an author of the study, and who is director of the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Health at the University of Connecticut believes that eliminating the option of flavored milk will take care of itself. She states, “Eventually kids get used to what’s there.”
Wrong Marlene, kids like chocolate milk and they won’t get used to not having it.
How thick is the irony that these same predators that try to groom our children at every turn, try to ingratiate themselves by pretending to care about children’s health.
Allow the opposite sex to use bathrooms and locker rooms is OK. Allow males to compete in female sports, OK. Promote the mental illness of gender dysphoria, leading to deeper mental trauma and often physical mutilation, OK.
Allow 2 Percent or whole milk, Nope.
Allow chocolate or strawberry milk … God Forbid.
