Elvis Presley, Plastic Straws, and Otis the Drunk
WRITER’S NOTE: The world is run by morons. The media is too lazy or too partisan to ask certain questions or to report certain facts. People who work in government and legacy media are too stupid or too sheltered to understand certain things…or maybe they do understand, and this is all part of some elaborate plan?
• If you wish America was more like Europe, then you forfeit your right to celebrate July 4.
• I don’t know who it is who is behind replacing plastic straws with paper straws at restaurants lately, but whomever you are, you suck!

• Joe Biden on stage lately reminds me of Elvis Presley on stage during the last six months of his life. Confused, disoriented, and constantly forgetting his lines.
• Now that I think about it, a lot of those ANTIFA and other Woke protestors remind me of the people that Charles Manson sent to Sharon Tate’s house.
• The media savaged Dan Quayle and, later, George W. Bush relentlessly because they made a few gaffes in their public speaking. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris make gaffes like that far more often than Bush or Quayle ever did, yet they get a pass.
• Stop by your local university and browse through some of the literature. I have. These books contain one left-wing talking point after another for students to consume. I didn’t see any books authored by any center-right scholars like Thomas Sowell or Milton Friedman that would have at least balanced everything out politically.

• I saw an episode of The Andy Griffith Show the other night. Rather than make Otis the Drunk sit in jail, Sheriff Taylor forces Otis to do personal chores for the sheriff, at the sheriff’s house, under the supervision of Aunt Bea. If you think about it, a public official (Sheriff Taylor) using state resources (in this case, a prisoner) to do personal work at his house just smacks of corruption.
• During the Iraq War, George W. Bush said he wanted to use the war as an opportunity to bring democracy to the Middle East. The political left said the culture of that part of the world was too different than ours’ and that trying to remake it in the image of the United States was impossible. Now the left wants the United States to take in people from all areas of the world, without question, and without assimilating them into our culture. Make it make sense.
