Some States Want Non-Citizens Enforcing U.S. Laws

It shouldn’t be this hard.

So why are the Marxist Democrats always attempting to disrupt our lives with offensive plans that insult their own citizens. At this point, I honestly don’t expect much intelligence from either side of the aisle. The Democrats are the party of bad ideas and Republicans don’t seem to have any ideas at all. Instead, they sit on their hands and watch the American public constantly being victimized by radical left indulgences.

Jumping into the pool with California and Colorado, while New Jersey and some others are still considering getting wet, Illinois will now allow non-U.S. citizens to become police officers.

Illinois Bill 3751 was signed into law yesterday by Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker. The bill:

“Provides that an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law is authorized to apply for the position of police officer, subject to all requirements and limitations, other than citizenship, to which other applicants are subject.”

The legislation also allows for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), program eligible for law enforcement work. The DACA program offers protection for immigrants who arrived illegally in the United States before turning sixteen and who have lived in the country continuously since at least 2007. It currently has approximately 580,000 recipients in the U.S..

This universally bad idea has had plenty of critics. In May, Republican Senator Chapin Rose Made his thoughts clearly known stating:

“To hand the power to arrest and detain a citizen of this state, or a citizen of any state in the United States, to a non-citizen is a fundamental breach of democracy. It is antithetical to the police power of any state. It’s just a fundamentally bad idea.”

Another group with their finger on the pulse of law enforcement, is the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police. Earlier this month they spoke up about this travesty as well. Unfortunately, the Democratic Governor wasn’t listening.

“What message does this legislation send when it allows people who do not have legal status to become the enforcers of our laws? This is a potential crisis of confidence in law enforcement at a time when our officers need all the public confidence they can get.”

Republican Representative Mary Miller, was rightfully outraged about the bill. She made an excellent point by stating that the bill is not only offensive to American citizenry, but it was signed surreptitiously at 5:00P.M. on a Saturday afternoon.

“At 5 p.m. yesterday, when no one was paying attention, Pritzker signed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to become police officers, giving non-citizens the power to arrest citizens in our state. No sane state would allow foreign nationals to arrest their citizens, this is madness!”

Aside from the Democrats desire to stick the knife into conservative’s beliefs, there is no reason to even consider a bill like this, far less draft and adopt one.

These actions are insulting to every American, brought to you by the same people that were screaming to defund the police.

First, they want to defund and eliminate law enforcement. Now, they want to hire non-citizens to police Americans. Political leverage over unity and common sense.

Draw your own conclusions.
