WATCH: Tucker Carlson Says He Was Told The Jan. 6 Crowd Was “Filled” With Federal Agents

And he wasn’t told this by some wacko, either. Carlson says, in this short clip from an interview he did with comedian and podcaster Russell Brand, that it was Stephen Sund, the former chief of the Capitol Police, who told him that.

Here’s the clip…

The interview with Sund never appeared on Fox News’ air, Carlson says – he was fired before it could air. He plans on interviewing Sund again for his own podcast.

It’ll be interesting if Sund agrees to confirm what he said in that unaired interview.

Of course, Carlson has noted the presence of feds at the Jan. 6 protest several times. It was clearly one of the reasons for his fall from grace at Fox News – the ruling elite is clearly not interested in a re-examination of what happened that day.

But a majority of Americans fall on Carlson’s side on this question. After he aired some of the video released by Congress of the Capitol grounds in April of this year, what looked a lot like a consensus seems to have formed around the idea that the protest was co-opted by the feds to become a riot…

A sizable majority of likely voters believe that the Capitol riot of Jan. 6, 2021, was provoked by government agents secretly operating in the crowds, a stunning rejection of the blame that Justice Department prosecutors and a special House panel have put squarely on the head of former President Donald Trump.

While many had suspicions of undercover agents fanning anger in the crowd about Trumpโ€™s electoral loss to Presidentย Joe Biden,ย the airing of never-before-seen videos by Foxโ€™s Tucker Carlson jumped that number to 65% in the latestย Rasmussen Reports survey.

Rasmussen reported that nearly half (47%) said it was โ€œvery likelyโ€ that agents whipped up protesters to the point of attacking police and breaking into the Capitol, where Congress and former Vice President Mike Pence were trying to certify Trumpโ€™s loss and Bidenโ€™s win.

โ€œFollowing Tucker Carlsonโ€™s release of previously unseen videos from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, more voters now believe it may have been provoked by undercover agents,โ€ the poll analysis read.

โ€œAmong voters who have โ€˜very closelyโ€™ followed news about Carlsonโ€™s broadcast of new videos of the Capitol riot, 72% think itโ€™s โ€˜very likelyโ€™ that undercover government agents helped provoke the riot,โ€ it added.

Federal officials have denied playing a role. Carlson was criticized for airing the videos granted to him by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in a transparency effort.

Some videos showed police guiding protesters through the Capitol’s hallways, even holding the door open for some of the most well-known suspects.
