Teacher’s Union Earns A “D” For Deception And Deceit
In what is rapidly becoming the distant past, teachers unions used to be pro student. That outlook, as well as so many other sacredly held beliefs, are almost out of sight in society’s rear-view mirror. Teachers unions now are all about power and control. Infiltrated by the left, they will take no prisoners in their attempt to suffocate innocence, promote perversion, and fuel division. Since children have become their prey, parents have become their enemy. They will do anything necessary to divide and destroy the bond between child and parent.
Located just outside of Denver, the Jefferson County Education Association (JCEA), surreptitiously told teachers via email, to collect gender identity and pronoun information from students, using paper and pencil so their was no digital footprint. Stating, “Any digital records are more permanent and may be requested under federal law.” The email also instructed teachers to, “make your notations about students and not hold on to the documents.” In other words, gather the information and then destroy the evidence that you did so.
This was done without the knowledge of school administrators and is in direct violation of both state and federal law. At the start of the academic year the county school district emailed all of its employees and admonished them to not take mandatory surveys from minors concerning private information. The email reminded them that such surveys were illegal. They also specified that even voluntary surveys were also illegal, unless the parents had the opportunity to opt out on behalf of their children.
The teachers, following the union’s guidelines, then proceeded to invade their student’s privacy with malicious intent. However, when some parents found out about what was taking place they were justifiably outraged.
One mother, Denise Crawford, that has three children attending school in the district, was shocked when her son showed up at home with the questionnaire. She stated that she was “deceived” and that the teachers and the union were “breaking the law.” She also called for “accountability and correction” for their illegal tactics.
Susan Miller, is a school board member. She addressed the situation this way. “The leadership actually provided an avenue to get around the law and basically saying it was OK. I want parents to know the district takes this very seriously.”
That’s great Susan, but you and the other board members cannot allow this to fall between the cracks. These people broke the law with the intent to alienate you and your child. Vocal outrage is fine and expected, but follow it up with definitive action or it will continue to happen.
JCEA president, Brooke Williams issued a statement in response to the controversy, and as you would expect, offered a lame explanation, held together with untruths, and outright lies.
“By allowing students an optional avenue to share their preferred pronouns while maintaining student privacy, we can better ensure that students feel safe, respected, and validated. We encourage and support educators to follow Jeffco’s district policy which states: School staff shall not disclose information that may reveal a student’s transgender status to others, including parents and other school staff, unless legally required to do so or unless the student has authorized such disclosure.”
“Transgender and gender nonconforming students have the right to discuss and express their gender identity and expression openly and to decide when, with whom, and how much to share private information.”
The union falsely that claimed the district gave unclear directions about preferred pronouns. In spite of the fact that a district-approved slide clearly showed otherwise.
“Please no preferred pronoun/gender identity questionnaire. Do not promise to keep information from parents.”
That seems abundantly clear to me, but then again I operate on common sense and I’m not blinded by a woke agenda who’s founding principal is based on mental illness and the denial of logic.
