Stanford Lecturer Separates Jewish Students Makes Them Stand In The Corner

Wow. At times I am actually amazed at the arrogance of the Marxist left. Professors, lecturers, and teachers at any level of the education system are supposed to teach, not preach. Sadly, from elementary school on up, we see the system dominated by self-centered social manipulators.

This past week a lecturer at Stanford, in the middle of a tumultuous and emotional week, decided to humiliate the Jewish students attending the class. In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Nourya Cohen and Andrei Mandelshtam, Israeli student leaders on the campus, reported that they had spoken to eighteen students that had attended the lecture. Due to the tension on the campus, all preferred to remain anonymous.

Cohen and Mandelshtam stated that the lecturer led two classes which were focused on colonialism. The lecturer stated that the violence was the result Zionists and defended Hamasโ€™s actions as simply resistance.

Having established his position, “He then asked Jewish students to raise their hands.โ€ He then obnoxiously separated them from their belongings and sent them to a corner in the back of the room, explaining that he was demonstrating what Jews were doing to Palestinians.

Cohen then told the Chronicle that the lecturer then asked the class how many people had died during the Holocaust. One student answered six million to which the lecture replied, โ€œYes, only six million.โ€

According to Cohen and Mandelshtam โ€œHis Arroganceโ€ then stated that more people died of colonialism than in the Holocaust and that colonialization was what happened to the Palestinians.

The lecturer actually stood in front of two classes (note, I didnโ€™t say taught), and the students said he separated them into two groups calling one group โ€œcolonizersโ€ and the other โ€œcolonized.โ€ He then stated, โ€œColonizers killed more than six million. Israel is a colonizer.”

Stanford, released this statement regarding the situation:

“Without prejudging the matter, this report is a cause for serious concern. Academic freedom does not permit the identity-based targeting of students. The instructor in this course is not currently teaching while the university works to ascertain the facts of the situation.”

Cohen was disgusted by the actions of โ€œHis Arrogance, โ€œ telling the Chronicle:

โ€œI feel absolutely dehumanized that someone in charge of students and developing minds could possibly try and justify the massacre of my people. Itโ€™s like Iโ€™m reliving the justification of Nazis 80 years ago on todayโ€™s college campus.โ€

The Anti-Defamation League agrees with Cohen:

Marc Levine told the Forward:

โ€œThe reported identity-based targeting of Jewish and Israeli students in a class was unacceptable. At a time when Jews are fearing for their safety worldwide, itโ€™s critical we boldly call out anti-Jewish hate. Students, including Jewish students deserve to feel safe and respected on university campuses.โ€

This is an American university and in 2023 this is damn close to being unbelievable. The left has both distorted and destroyed many aspects of our society, with civility chief among them.
