Memory-holed Events of 2023 (Part 1)

With 2023 coming to an end, many people enjoy reminiscing on some of the major cultural and political events over the past year. To close out 2023, I thought it would better serve us to remember the “memory-holed events” of 2023.

You may wonder what does a “memory-holed event” refer to. The term originates from the famous book 1984. In this novel, the government’s (a.k.a. Big Brother) Ministry of Truth possessed the power to destroy any information on a whim. More specifically, the “memory hole” was the place where the Ministry of Truth could throw away newspapers and other documents to eliminate the truth.

In 2023, metaphorical memory holes exist in modern America. However, our version of “memory holes” refers to people’s inability to remember important events due to the Regime media’s lack of continued reporting on a topic. Typically, the news media fails to report on the resolution of an outcome/event at a certain point so that people conveniently forget about an event at some point.

In today’s article, we’re going to the discuss three key memory-holed events from the past year. The goal of this article is to encourage everyone to further research some of the memory-holed events in 2023.

1 The East Palestine, Ohio Train-wreck (February 2023)

Back in February 2023, one of the worst train wrecks in American history occurred. In this horrible accident, over 50 train cars released toxic chemicals into the surrounding rural community of East Palestine–causing the death of thousands of animals and the forced evacuation of local residents.

Ten months later, no one really knows what exactly happened with this train derailment. According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the government’s preliminary explanation for this catastrophe was due to a temperature spike in the wheel bearing. In the time since then, the Federal government has not provided conclusive evidence as to the cause of the situation.

The other interesting aspect to the story is centers around President Joe Biden. Oddly enough, Joe Biden never visited East Palestine during this whole ordeal. Many political commentators at the time were angered at Biden for the whole situation, but any neutral observer would find Biden’s absence to be somewhat strange–especially when one considers the magnitude of this disaster.

On a worse note, a Federal court threw out a class action lawsuit against Norfolk Southern–the train company which owned the freight cars in this train derailment. So, it looks like the company at the center of this controversy is not receiving a ton of punishment for this event. In context, the company did spend $100 million to help evacuate East Palestine residents. Nevertheless, the untold cost of this train derailment is likely way higher than this cost.

Plenty of questions linger about this event, but it is unlikely that the Regime will give an honest explanation of this event.

2 Two of the Largest Bank Collapses in US History (March 2023)

In the first quarter of 2023, two major American banks collapsed in the span of a week in early 2023. Back in March, the Federal Government seized two Silicon Valley-focused banks–Signature Bank and Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). Both of these banks collapsed after a bank run amid rising interest rates in 2023. The Federal Government insured all of the deposits at these banks, but nothing ever really came out of these bank collapses.

The collapse of Signature Bank and SVB marked the largest bank collapses since the 2008 Financial Crisis. However, news coverage of the bank collapses stopped around March-April of 2023, and no further investigations into these events have taken place.

3 The Maui Wildfires (August 2023)

Last but not least is the Maui Wildfires from August 2023. This natural disaster became one of the deadliest nature-related events in modern American history–with over 100 reported deaths. The wildfires also consumed over 2000 acres of land and displaced thousands of people.

The most important question about the wildfires relates to the cause. Does anyone really know what cause the wildfires? Some claim that strong winds and dry conditions caused the wildfires. Others believe the wildfires were a result of government incompetence.

The one thing we do know is that the Maui wildfires are over now. But, I doubt the public will know the full-story behind the cause of the Maui wildfires.
