Barack Obama: most overrated president in U.S. history

“I think there is a time when you’ve made enough money and don’t need anymore.” – Barack Obama

For those of us who know our history, it’s sickening to see periodic polls by woke historians ranking American presidents from the greatest to the worst. These leftist opinion surveys tell us more about the far-left bias of new age historians than they do about the effectiveness of our past presidents.

These polls are an accumulative regurgitation of liberal thought by those who may have taught in a local junior college. Some of these self-ordained historians may even have a degree in history from a woke university. Those are the most dangerous of the lot since they combine weak facts with bad fiction.

“Nobody is right all of the time, not even me, the president of the USA!” – Barack Obama

Obviously they are skewed to the left considering how high many failed leaders are rated. It shows the ones they favored most, spent the most on feel good social and welfare programs. All of the winners drastically increased the size of government with an alphabet soup of federal agencies. They doubled spending to support these programs, which kept America suffocating from debt.

One thing these overrated progressives had in common was their open disdain for the rich. They spent entire terms looking for ways to punish them for making too much and not paying their fair share, although they paid more than anyone else. Their goal is to keep the leftist dream of sharing the wealth and misery alive to keep the classes and races divided under the progressives banner.

As an identity candidate, hand picked by John Kerry and Susan Rice, Obama was too big to fail. They encircled him with an army of beltway blue coats to run cover for his every mistake. The blue coat agitprop machine worked overtime to turn a community organizer into a celebrity. When asked what made Obama so special, these leftist historians collectively agreed: “his promise for change!”

In an opinion poll last year targeting woke liberal history professors, they ranked Obama higher than any of our founders for contributions he made to our nation. They claim he improved race relations, the economy and foreign policy, which helped to rebuild the working middle class after a recession.

“I promised America change they could believe in and I delivered it and more.” – Barack Obama

Liberal media worked overtime to sell Obama to America. At a New York celebrity event, Susan Sarandon embellished Obama on a par with Jesus. “He is a community organizer like Jesus was!” Actor Alan Cumming said Obama was like Mahatma Gandhi who could solve all world problems. Offering no justification, every Black historian bestowed Obama with the highest rating given to any president.

Obama was also often compared to Nelson Mandela, best known for successfully leading the resistance to South Africa’s policy of apartheid in the 20th century. Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Price in 1993 for having led the transition from apartheid to multiracial democracy. Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize was only a prerequisite for things he campaigned to do but never got to them.

Since Obama has been out of office, as many middle-class Blacks evaluate the Obama years in critical voting states, they question these off center polls and the liberal media that conducted them. The common denominator for middle-class Blacks is, “what have you done for us lately?”

The economy, social issues and foreign relations were more impervious to Obama’s remedies than he expected. World leaders were less impressed by Obama’s change campaign than he imagined. Other than his celebrity status, nothing he did is more worthy than a footnote in history.

“No, I have been practicing. I bowled a 129. It’s like it was the Special Olympics.” – Barack Obama

In retrospect, the media and his party advisors were continually forced to bail Obama out because of his exaggerated belief in his own capacity to transform Washington. This was compounded by his point blank refusal for bipartisan politics. This was a naïve miscalculation about his own power.

Today’s historians lean far left and present a distorted analysis of the people and events of world history due to the progressive influence in our universities. They have strayed so far from the truth they would not know it if they read it in the Gutenberg bible at Easter Sunday church services.

“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it just ain’t goin’ away.”  – Elvis Presley

The Committee to Unleash Prosperity educates policy makers and the public how to maximize economic growth and prosperity. Judging a leader by his or her effectiveness as a leader, not the winner of a popularity contest, reveals a different story. Last year, they polled independent historians that exposed leftist “non-think tanks.” They found Barack Obama was the most overrated president in history and some of our greatest leaders didn’t even receive honorable mention in their last poll.

Participants were asked who they believe history books over and underrate. Nancy Pelosi, JFK, Mitt Romney, FDR, Woodrow Wilson, Barack Obama and Joe Biden were all overrated. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson were only mentioned as underrated by a few. It is who was completely left out of their polls that should red flag most every American.

The CUP poll revealed Calvin Coolidge, whose tax cuts and limited government policies created the roaring 1920s, was deemed the most underrated, followed by Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan, Dwight D. Eisenhower (for retooling America after the WWII) and multitasking Bill Clinton. Warren Harding and Ulysses S. Grant were also recognized for passing difficult working balanced budgets.

“Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery.” – Calvin Coolidge

Many of these so-called historians live in plastic-glass houses imperious to the world around them with an army of progressives eager to defend them. Many have tenure, which is a bonus to protect them from public criticism and political ridicule for their nonsensical political logic. Since history is the queen of all sciences, how dare they say they are historians when you can’t rewrite history?

Gina Carano said, “it is not what you poll but who you poll that matters.” The CUP poll compiled responses from 120 “influential thought makers,” including governors, scholars, business leaders, writers, economists and real historians. Liberal media betrayed America, transforming a community organizer into a celebrity instead of letting him succeed or fail on his own.

In the Communist Manifesto, we learned that in order to force socialism or Communism on a nation, politicians must take control of the press; not let the press control them. This is our government and its time we realize that liberal media only empowers the progressives to do more damage to our republican government.

“The greatest threat to America is not necessarily a recession or even another terrorist attack. The greatest threat to America is a liberal media bias.” – Lamar S. Smith
