Alumnus Stuns School Donates $260 Million To Israeli University

The Ivy League schools have become a morally decrepit pit of vipers. From illegal admission practices to radical antisemitism, the schools that used to represent the best of Americaโ€™s institutions of higher learning are now graveling in the muck of wokeism.

However, cracks are beginning to show. These schools’ arrogance is being not only questioned but challenged, and those who supported them in the past are now looking elsewhere.

Columbia is learning that lesson right now. One of their alumnus, obviously wealthy and wishing to remain anonymous, has snubbed his alma mater and instead has donated $260 million of his fortune to one of Israelโ€™s largest universities. The public research university that is receiving the grant is Bar-illan.

The philanthropist, a โ€œNorth American Jew and a graduate of Columbia University who was active in World War II,โ€ chose Bar-Ilan University to receive his generous gift. His belief in the university’s ability to strengthen Israelโ€™s technological resilience through science-based infrastructure is a testament to its potential.

President Prof. Arie Zaban of the Israeli University explained the purpose of the generous gift at the annual Board of Trustees meeting:

“The donor, a man of broad academic education, believed that the development of Israel’s technological resilience relies primarily on breakthrough science. During his visits to Israel, he recognized the significant impact Bar-Ilan University has made in key areas thanks to its science-based infrastructure and deep connections to all sectors of Israeli society.โ€

โ€œThis gift will be invested in the development of Deep Tech sciences and has the potential to positively influence the future of Israel and humanity. This gift will enable us to start implementing our new vision for the future. However, this is just the beginning, and I call upon others to partner with us as we create lasting change for our society, economy, and the world at large.โ€

Hank Sheinkopf, a longtime political consultant, pro-Israel activist, and rabbi, told The NY. Post, โ€œItโ€™s a smack in the face of Columbia. Itโ€™s just the beginning.โ€ The announcement of the gift was also picked up by e-JewishPhilanthropy.com.

In summarizing his remarks to the board, Prof. Zaban said, โ€œWe have a mission. Today, more than ever, Israel needs support and investment in its science and human capital. Our research-driven technological resilience is the key to a thriving society and economy.โ€

Itโ€™s one of the largest donations to an academic institution since James Simons and his wife donated $500 million last year to Stony Brook University, part of the public SUNY system.

Columbia University declined to comment.

Sheinkopf is correct. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The โ€œPoison Ivyโ€ schools are so self-righteous that they canโ€™t see the contempt they are breeding in others. They gave up teaching years ago and instead spent their time and money indoctrinating those foolish enough to pass through their once-hallowed halls.

The bloom is off the rose in far too many American colleges. Now, they are nothing more than boot camps for intolerant and misguided social warriors.
