Forty-Nine States Enabling Non-U.S. Citizens To Vote
When we become aware of certain events, it’s easy to hear about them and not fully grasp their significance. In these moments, it’s crucial to step back and consider the potential implications of these actions, particularly when they involve our democratic processes.
Since we were children, weโve all been told that our most sacred right as a citizen of the United States is our right to vote. So, why would one of the two major political parties stoop so low as to take that right away from the country’s legal citizens? Thatโs right. The Democrats are so power-crazed that they will do anything to win an election, even if it means neutralizing the most sacred right of our countryโs citizens.
Welfare offices and other government agencies in 49 states are handing out voter registration forms to illegals without proof of citizenship. Every state except Arizona, which recently passed a law barring the practice on state but not federal forms, gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driverโs licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.
Believe it or not, currently, federal voting forms do not require proof of US citizenship, but it is illegal to falsely claim to be a citizen or for a non-citizen to cast a ballot in a federal election.
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 mandates that states register voters at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and at agencies where Americans apply for public benefits. Federal law requires these offices to provide voter registration forms along with the application papers. If an individual claims to be a US citizen, that claim is deemed valid, and the individual is eligible for voter registration.
The very idea that based on someoneโs word without proof, they are considered eligible for voter registration is absurd. Is this, or is this not the United States of America? The Democrats would love to turn this into a third-world nation, and policies like this are doing just that.
Last month, the House Administration Committee approved the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. The act requires states to receive proof of citizenship when anyone registers to vote by mail, at a DMV, or at a welfare agency office.
In an interview with the NY Post, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), who piloted the bill, said this:
โWhile Biden and radical progressive Democrats give ISIS and criminals an app to literally schedule their illegal entry, Republicans must fight any chance of illegal voter registration until we can mass deport.โ
After the bill was approved, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said:
โAs President Biden has welcomed millions of illegal aliens through our borders, including sophisticated criminal syndicates and foreign adversaries, it is incumbent upon Congress to implement greater enforcement measures that secure the voter registration process and ensure only American citizens decide the outcome of American elections.โ
Ryan Walker, executive vice president at the conservative Heritage Foundationโs Heritage Action, told The Post:
โIt is undeniable that the current structure makes it possible for illegal immigrants and non-citizens to vote, and the American people have no way of knowing how widespread the problem may be. The SAVE Act puts all of these issues to rest and gives Americans confidence that our elections are decided on a more even playing field.โ
Right on cue, the left tries to minimize the disgusting truth by downplaying what is actually going on. โItโs a fabrication being peddled, for personal and political gain, by leaders who should know better,โ said leftist Campaign Legal Center executive director Adav Noti in a statement as the House Administration Committee prepared to consider the SAVE Act.
Noti added, โShameful bills like the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act often result in eligible US citizens being incorrectly prevented from voting or being forced to jump through additional hoops to exercise their freedom to vote. Campaign Legal Center opposes this bill.โ
Hans von Spakovsky, a former member of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative at the Heritage Foundation, provided numerous examples in his testimony to the House committee before the panel approved the SAVE Act on May 23.
โItโs a real problem, not an imaginary problem,โ von Spakovsky told The Post.
The leftโs game plan in matters such as these rarely deviates. They commit crimes against the nation, and if they are interrogated about their illegal and immoral activities, they either lie and deny that they took place or try to minimize them to make the truth look foolish.
Ask yourself, why would the Democrats not want voter verification? Itโs a cut-and-dry requirement of any free country, and the fact that they try to undermine that fact at every turn tells you all you need to know about the woke leftโs agenda.
This election is the most important one in American history, and every person who votes in it must be an American.
