GOP, Trump Supporters Should be Proud of Civil, Disciplined Reaction to Absurd Trump Conviction
Sometimes impressive feats go unnoticed because of expectations that are taken for granted. When Bill Clinton and Obama were in the White House, we saw repeated scandals ranging from Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky, Fast and Furious, and the use of the IRS to target religious groups. There were so many scandals involving the Clintons, many became desensitized to the systemic corruption that their family represented. When even disturbing behavior is seen everyday without consequences, some of the public will accept the activity as normal. Today we are seeing the same concerning trend with the constant agitation and even violence that has come from the Left consistently over the last 8 years. We’ve seen left-wing agitators engaged in violence over Israel’s War with Hamas, the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, and the tragic death of George Floyd.
In 2022, After Roe v. Wade was overturned, the left-wing group called Jane’s Revenge took credit for 18 incidents of arson and vandalism of pregnancy crisis centers. The FBI made little to no effort to find these violent criminals. The left also engaged in months of violence and the destruction of property after the sad passing of George Floyd. More recently, we’ve seen the destruction of property from agitators protesting against the War between Israel and Hames, as well as the disruption of normal classes and activities on university campuses across the United States. The left has consistently engaged in acts of violence and the disruption of American society when they are unhappy with the current state of affairs.
This is why the civil response of Trump supporters to the completely absurd and unprecedented conviction of the former President in a case brought by far left-wing and Soros-funded District Attorney Alvin Brag should not go unnoticed. Trump was charged in a case stemming from alleged actions that occurred over 8 years ago with no victim. The charges were also brought in the heavily Democratic enclave of New York City and the verdict of the case was essentially a forgone conclusion, with the Judge in the trial being a left-wing activist whose daughter, a democrat activist, made millions of dollars fundraising off her father’s efforts to go after the former President.
Republicans and conservatives have seen the two-tiered justice system led by the corrupt Attorney General Merrick Garland be weaponized against them for nearly four years now. From the selective prosecution of Trump to the absurd sentences imposed on even low-level January 6th offenders, to the equally disturbing sentences against anti-abortion activists, this is the most partisan and corrupt Justice Department the nation has seen in decades. Still, the conviction of President Trump was the ultimate test for his supporters. Would they remain true to their belief in law and order even with the system failing both them and the country, or would they stoop to the low levels we have seen from many on the left.
There were no acts of violence after the sham trial ended with an absurd conviction of the former President. There was no destruction of property, and no effort to disrupt the functioning of society. Trump supporters and Republicans should be proud of their reaction to the sham trial and fraudulent conviction of the former President. Principles only hold value if a person adheres to them in times of adversity, and Conservatives showed they believe in law and order even when the current system is clearly not functioning ethically.
