Cleanup On Isle Kamala
No sooner had the announcement been made that Kamala Harris was going to replace Biden as the Democrat nominee when liberals and the lying MSM began a unified attempt to sweep her horrible record under the rug.
Their first attempt to erase our memories concerns Harris being appointed as “Border Czar” and the subsequent horrible job she did at it. The entire liberal media is working furiously to erase even their own reporting on this issue to try and hide the truth from the American people. The reason for this is obvious: the border crisis is a total disaster, and Harris has done nothing to make the situation better.
In March 2021, Biden appointed Harris to investigate the “root causes” of the crisis at the southern border. At the time, Harris seemed eager to take on the challenge and posted:
“@POTUS asked me to lead our diplomatic work with Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. To address the situation at the southern border, we have to address the root causes of migration. It won’t be easy work, but it’s necessary.”
In June of 2021, it was none other than the Communist News Network (CNN’s) senior national correspondent Ed Lavandera who referred to Vice President Harris as the “border czar,” reporting:
“The Vice President is expected to be in El Paso in about an hour and a half, and this will be her first visit to the U.S.-Mexico border region since she was appointed as the border czar by President Biden.”
The MSM, who are all controlled by the same people, immediately began using the same term to describe Harris’s role at the border. In fact, journalists have been using this same language as recently as last week. During the ABC News Live coverage of the RNC, anchor Kanya Whitworth remarked that the speakers “were very critical of Kamala Harris, especially in her role as border czar.”
Axios, in particular, has been criticized for gaslighting the use of the title. On Wednesday, Axios was heavily criticized on social media after it insisted in a post that Harris “never actually had the title” of “border czar.” This is despite an article from the outlet in April 2021 that expressly referred to Harris as Biden’s appointed “border czar.”
After getting pounded on social media, Axios offered this flimsy excuse in an updated version of the original post with an added note from the editor:
“This article has been updated and clarified to note that Axios was among the news outlets that incorrectly labeled Harris a ‘border czar’ in 2021.”
Axios had previously complained and tried to erase history by discussing some Republican comments from over the weekend:
“Despite insisting that she not be made the face of the administration’s border policies, Harris was tasked with stemming migration from Central American countries. That prompted GOP attacks on her as ‘border czar,’ a narrative the White House did little to combat. During the Republican convention last week, many speakers labeled Harris as the “border czar” since Biden appointed her to take the lead on working with Central America to deter migration at the southern border.”
Now, with millions upon millions of migrants having invaded the southern border under Harris’ watch and a tough election against Trump coming in November, the same media that loved the title is scrambling to remove the border czar label from her political resume retroactively.
On Tuesday, a Time headline read: “Kamala Harris Was Never Biden’s ‘Border Czar.’ Here’s What She Really Did.”
The New York Daily News Reported: “The Veep and the Border: Kamala Harris’ role was never ‘border czar.”
USA Today chimed in with this: “Harris was never put in charge of the border or made ‘border czar,’ immigration experts said.”
It appears that some people who support Kamala Harris’ candidacy have tried to hide her extremely liberal voting record as a senator from California. In 2019, GovTrack ranked Harris as the “most liberal” of all 100 U.S. senators, and CBS’ Norah O’Donnell brought up that assessment during an interview with Harris. Naturally, Harris responded with a nervous cackle.
At some point, it appears that GovTrack, billed as a nonpartisan government transparency website, scrubbed that “most liberal” ranking from Harris’ old page.
X CEO Elon Musk expressed dismay, stating, “They’re working so hard to erase the Internet lmao.” He then noted that Harris was “literally as far left as it is possible to go.”
Harris had a very inauspicious start to her political career. At 29, she began dating the infamous Willie Brown, the Mayor of San Francisco at the time. The affair came to light in 1994 when, at Brown’s 60th birthday party, Clint Eastwood spilled some champagne on Harris and announced that he had spilled it on Brown’s “new steady.”
Politico reported that:
“Harris had dated Brown, who was investigated by the FBI when he was speaker of the California Assembly and as mayor was dogged by conflict of interest, and she had benefited from his political patronage. As the speaker of the state Assembly, Brown had named Harris to well-paid posts on the California Medical Assistance Commission and Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board.”
“As mayor of San Francisco in 2003, Brown was supportive of her district attorney campaign although they were no longer dating. Critics, including her opponents were bemoaning cronyism at City Hall.”
Matt Walsh, the well-known Conservative, posted this on X:
“Kamala Harris got her start in politics by sleeping with Willie Brown. She became Vice President because Biden needed a non-white female on the ticket. Now, she likely becomes the Democratic nominee for president because the guy at the top of the ticket has dementia. She’s made a career out of begging for handouts from powerful men. A thoroughly unimpressive human being.”
While Walsh’s assessment is accurate, the truth is not well-received when it exposes someone on the left. In fact, the truth is often spun by the MSM to appear to be worse than the actual circumstances being revealed.
Naomi Wolf, a former liberal who saw the light when she disagreed with the establishment’s authoritarian COVID-19 policies, rightly issued a warning to conservatives not to focus on Harris’ sexual past.
She responded to Walsh’s post with this post of her own.
“This kind of sexist take from Republican men will not play well. Swing voters who are women are up for grabs, the Trump/Vance ticket needs them, and ‘she slept her way to the top’ just repels many women and is not an argument.”
Wolf is correct. The MSM will blow right past the facts and make the story about Republicans digging up dirt from her “distant” past. According to the San Francisco Standard, Willie Brown reinvigorated the story by staging an impromptu news conference outside a restaurant where he endorsed Harris to replace Biden.
There is plenty to criticize Harris about besides her sordid but timely affair with old man brown. Her handling of the border is cause enough to avoid electing her dog catcher far less president of the United States.
Glenn Beck provided an interesting list of things that Harris has endorsed. Every one of them is based firmly on leftist ideology, which is to say that none are based in reality.
Here is Beck’s list:
“She was one of only 14 people that endorsed the Green New Deal. Among those who signed it were Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, placing Kamala with “the radical of the radical.”
“Harris “co-sponsored single-payer health care” (i.e., universal health care).
She advocated for “a complete transition away from fossil fuels in ten years,” which would have led to the “collapse of our economy.”
She supported a “universal government jobs guarantee.”
“She was also for government programs promising universal access to healthy foods.”
“She wanted to upgrade every single home and business building in the country for energy efficiency.”
Harris also supported “UBI – Universal Basic Income.”
“New national living wage standards.”
“More power for labor unions.”
“Free college.”
“A whole new electric grid.”
“The end of gasoline cars by 2030.”
“Transformation of U.S. agriculture, including the end of much of the cattle industry.”
Harris isn’t fit to be in the position that she is in. The fact that she is represents pure madness, and it’s high time to restore sanity.
