Trump should only Debate Harris in September if She Agrees to a Third Debate On Fox News
The left continues to be divided and weak. While the Democrats were successfully able to move the failed current President out, the ramp out of Harris as the nominee was done very poorly. Obama didn’t even issue a statement about Harris for nearly a week after Biden named her as his replacement, and the former President’s surrogates such as David Axelrod even openly questioned the strength of her candidacy on TV networks as well. Biden also waited three days after he stated he was dropping out to give a major speech on his decision, and the optics suggest the current President was forced out, he did not leave by choice.
This is why Harris wants to debate Trump so badly right now. Even though the Vice President predictably polls better than Biden, who couldn’t even complete sentences at the debate. the former President is ahead of Harris nationally in the polls, and more importantly, he leads her in almost every poll in the key battleground states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Trump also has zero pressure on him to accept the invitation to debate her after the failed assassination attempt in addition to his commanding lead in national and battleground state polls.
The former President has all the leverage right now, and he should use his strength in the polls to force Harris to accept a third debate with Fox. The second debate is tentatively scheduled for September 10th, and ABC has stated they plan to go ahead with this event even though Trump has declared he will not debate Harris until she formally becomes the nominee. ABC has a long history of being a biased network that does not fairly cover Republicans or conservatives. ABC was one of the last major networks to verify the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, and anchors at the news station also pushed the Russian hoax for years as well. ABC has often employed left-wing activists acting like Journalists, such as White House correspondent John Carl.
Trump is doing Harris a favor by debating her, and the exchange would also be moderated by a left-wing network. The former President should force the former Senator from California to accept a third debate, moderated by Fox, before he agrees to this debate in September. Fox moderated Presidential debates in 2016 and 2020, there is no reason the network should be excluded in this election cycle. The only reason CNN and ABC were the only networks scheduled to originally host debates is because Biden didn’t want a fair moderator and he was doing well in the polls, so he had some leverage. Trump has the leverage now, and he should use his power to get fair terms for future exchanges with Harris.
The biased and corrupt media has tried to interfere in elections for years, including in 2016 and 2020. Trump had to debate even with unfair moderators in 2016 and 2020, because he was behind in the polls. This is the first time the current President has the leverage to dictate a fair result, and Trump should force Harris to agree to a third debate moderated by Fox as a condition for him to engage her in September on ABC. With Chris Wallace gone, a debate hosted by Fox would actually likely have an impartial moderator, since the former Fox anchor was someone who was usually unfair to Trump. The left has tried to manipulate the electoral process for 8 years now, Trump should use the leverage he has to make sure that for the first time in 8 years the debate format is not one-sided.
