High Time for Trump to Fire LaCivita and Wiles

Less than 70 days remain until this November’s presidential election, and the Trump campaign is in dire need of a major course correction.

Last month, President Donald Trump seemed to have the 2024 election in the bag. After the Republican National Convention, the Real Clear Politics polling average showed Trump up by three percentage points over his opponent President Joe Biden. Never before had Trump maintained such a large polling lead this late in an election cycle. In fact, he was down by significant margins in nearly every national polls during both the 2016 and 2020 presidential election cycles.

Everything changed on July 21st. On that day, President Biden announced that he would no longer seek reelection. For the first time in American history, an incumbent President dropped out of the presidential election less than four months before the election. The Democratic party’s successful coup d’etat of Biden completely changed the state of the 2024 presidential election, and we are now looking at an election matchup between President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Over the past few weeks, President Trump’s strong lead in national polling and in the battleground state polling has largely evaporated. Vice President Kamala Harris is running neck-and-neck with President Trump in all of the swing states. In fact, she is currently holding slight leads in most polls coming from Michigan and Wisconsin.

Many reasons can account for Vice President Harris’s polling boost. Here are a few notable explanations for Harris’s rise: the mainstream media’s overwhelmingly positive coverage of Harris, the Harris campaign’s non-stop online advertising, and the simple fact that she is not Joe Biden.

In reality, the cause of Kamala Harris’s meteoric rise does not matter. What actually matters is how Donald Trump’s campaign reacts to these recent developments.

Unfortunately, the truth is that President Trump’s current political advisors are unable to adapt Trump’s campaign for his new opponent. Trump’s advisors have allowed Kamala Harris to gain the political spotlight, and we may witness a stunning defeat in November unless something changes in the Trump camp.

Who then is responsible for the Trump campaign’s recent struggles?  The answer points to advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles. LaCivita and Wiles are the establishment political consultants who have taken over President Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Why do I say LaCivita and Wiles are establishment Republicans? Well to start, LaCivita and Wiles do not believe that the 2020 election was stolen—despite a vast majority of Republicans and President Trump affirming this view.

Even worse, Chris LaCivita was publicly attacking President Trump as recently as 2021. LaCivita was caught liking posts on Twitter calling for President Trump’s removal via the 25th Amendment after the January 6th protests.

Do LaCivita and Wiles sound like loyal Trump supporters? No, they are not at all.

Their record as Trump’s top campaign advisors is just as disappointing too. Let’s look at some of the terrible decisions made under LaCivita and Wiles’s watch:

-The constant disavowals of the Trump loyalists on Project 2025

-The selection of the unpopular Senator JD Vance as the Vice Presidential nominee

-Trump’s disastrous appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists conference

-The Trump campaign’s recent flip-flopping on abortion

Many political pundits have noticed that the Trump 2024 campaign is in deep trouble. Notable commentators have publicly castigated LaCivita and Wiles for their poor leadership over the last month—including Mike Cernovich, Raheem Kassam, and Emerald Robinson.

Fortunately, the Trump campaign is finally making some minor improvements. The campaign brought on several key members of Trump’s previous presidential campaigns. The most notable addition from this new group is former 2016 Trump campaign chairman Corey Lewandowski.

The addition of Lewandowski and other Trump loyalists is certainly a sound decision. Nevertheless, the Trump campaign is still in need of a larger overhaul. President Trump can start this overhaul by firing Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.

The stakes are high for the 2024 presidential election. No one can deny this reality. But at the end of the day, the results of the 2024 election do not affect LaCivita and Wiles. Regardless of the election’s outcome, LaCivita and Wiles already have received an exorbitant income from leading Trump’s 2024 campaign. They have little on the line when it comes to this year’s presidential election.

The 2024 election results do actually matter for the American people and for President Donald Trump. A Kamala Harris victory likely means that the American people will suffer through more mass immigration, more inflation, and more crime. A Kamala Harris victory will likely ensure that President Trump ends up in prison. The importance of this election cycle is fairly obvious.

It is high time for President Trump to fire Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.
