Kamala Harris’s CNN Interview Shows she has no Credible Answers for Changing Positions
There is an old saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. While there is no shame in a politician evolving on issues, Reagan was once a Democrat, Trump used to be pro-choice, and Kamala Harris’s constant changing of positions is shameless. The Vice President has completely reversed her position with no explanation on nearly every core issue that she is running on, from taxes and energy policy, to even the border and health care policy. The radical former Senator’s campaign seems to essentially be premised on the idea that no one will fact-check or hold her accountable for the many far-left positions the former California politician has taken.
Kamala Harris voted for Bernie Sanders’s Medicare-for-all bill that would ban private insurance, she gave speeches on the importance of banning fracking, and the Vice President also made clear that she supports decriminalizing the border that she has left open for 4 years as the country’s pathetic border czar.
This is why after not doing any interviews or press conferences for over a month since Harris was named as the nominee of the Democratic Party, her recent incoherent interview with left-wing news outlet CNN was so pathetic. The former Senator from California has no credible explanation for why her positions on the border or energy have changed. She supported an open border as recently as last year, and she only stated in 2020 that because Biden did not want to ban fracking she would support his position. Harris never even stated the she did not personally support banning fracking, a position she clearly held in the 2020 Democratic primary before she dropped out of the race after her campaign failed.
Harris in 2019 clearly stated that she supported banning both fracking and offshore drilling. The Vice President never changed her position. Despite what she lied about in her interview with Bash, she simply stated that she would support the President’s positions.
The fact that Harris had nothing remotely resembling a logical response on why any of her positions on the critical issues of the 2024 race have changed so dramatically in a short period of time even after not doing interviews for over a month since she became the nominee shows that her entire campaign is a fraud. The Vice President is also in power, she cannot run as a change agent when the former Senator has not even argued that she disagreed with Biden on any major policy issue. The fact that Harris didn’t even have a story or remotely credible lie about why her positions change every couple years, shows that has no core values and is not fit to lead, particularly in these trying times.
Trump was one of the most successful and principled President’s in US history. The former President governed exactly as he campaigned. He closed the border, cut taxes, reversed our country’s policy of appeasing China, renegotiated NAFTA, and held Europe accountable for unfair trade policies and not paying their fair share with NATO. Trump’s policy positions are consistent and his values are clear, his vision for the country has not changed since his strong first term ended just 4 years ago. Harris has hid from the media and public scrutiny for some time, but the Vice President will have to debate the former President on September 10th, and she will have to answer for her absurd positions now as well. Harris’s campaign is likely on borrowed time.
