A REAL PROBLEM: Joe Biden Gets Mad When Our Enemies Get Killed

On July 30 of this year, Fuad Shukr, a founding member of Hezbollah and senior military advisor to then-Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli air strike.

As reported by Israel National News, President Joe Biden was furious at the news of Shukrโ€™s demise and called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to express his anger:

โ€œafter the elimination of Hezbollah’s second-highest ranking figure Fuad Shukr, Biden was furious with Netanyahu and told him: “Bibi, what the f-?” Biden added, โ€œYou know the perception of Israel around the world increasingly is that youโ€™re a rogue state, a rogue actor.โ€

Some background is in order here to fully explain why itโ€™s so outrageous that Biden would have such a reaction.

Hezbollah is the Lebanese Shia jihadist organization that acts essentially as a foreign arm of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Before September 11, 2001, Hezbollah was the Jihadist terrorist organization with the largest body count of Americans, going back decades. They bombed the US embassy in Beirut in April 1982 and then bombed the barracks of the US Marine and French Army peacekeeping forces in Beirut on October 23, 1983. 241 US Marines, sailors and soldiers were killed in those attacks. 58 French soldiers were killed.

Hezbollah continued its war on Americans during the US overthrow of Saddam Hussein and subsequent counterinsurgency in Iraq, working with the IRGC and Iraqi Shia militias, providing training and expertise in planting improvised explosive devices.

In fact, it is widely believed that Hezbollah has killed more Americans than they have killed Israelis.

Now here are some facts about Fuad Shukr. He planned the 1983 Barracks bombing that killed 241 Americans. In 2017 he was officially classified as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US State Department and was listed under our Rewards for Justice Program as one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, with a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture.

Instead of cussing out Netanyahu, Biden should have been thanking him. Actually, Biden and his predecessors in the White House, along with the US State Department and intelligence community should have been tracking Shukr down and bringing him to justice, one way or another.

But clearly their hearts and minds have never been in the fight. And that is precisely why we donโ€™t win wars anymore.
