Democratic Leaders Are Really Talking about the American People, not Trump, when they talk about Existential Threats to Democracy

There is nothing most people on the left prefer more than elitist rule. Many Democrats were very happy when the Supreme Court established Roe v Wade as precedent, legalized gay marriage, or made other decisions that were essentially policy creation. The whole basis for most left-wing ideologies in China with Mao and Cambodia with Pol Pot is the idea of a so-called intellectual elite making decisions for the masses. This is the real reason the far left supports gun control, high taxes, and also policies such as the Green Deal that give the government significant control over the economy. The government can use high taxes to control and pick winners and losers. The gun control policies only impact average citizens, obviously the elite will still have armed guards, and the focus on what the left calls climate change is in reality a pretext to further regulate an energy sector that is nearly twenty percent of the US economy. Everything with the left comes back to power and control.

This is the real reason the left is so threatened by Trump. The former President is not racist and he didn’t enact a single policy that gave preferential treatment to one group over another. The black community also had near-record home ownership and historically low levels of unemployment when Trump that was far more meaningful when he was President. The current low unemployment numbers are highly misleading because of inflation and the fact that wages have not kept up with rising prices. Trump is a candidate of the people and chosen by the middle class, the fact that he’s a billionaire is irrelevant, he’s not a member of the political establishment of either party. The same Democrats who talk about white supremacy and racism nominated Hillary Clinton in 2016, despite her rhetoric referring to blacks as super predators. The left then nominated Biden in 2020, a man who supported racism and segregation most of his career, and even delivered the eulogy at the funeral of individuals who spent their careers fighting for Segregation. The current President also has a long history of making racist comments, including about Obama in 2008, when he referred to him as clean.

The left is obsessed with power and control, and the idea of a candidate chosen by the middle class of this country to represent their interests is what most Democrats are really referring to when they say Trump is an existential threat to Democracy. The reality is that the leaders of the Democratic Party have given up on Democracy. They tried to impeach the duly elected President on false pretense, which was in reality an attempted coup. The left also chose a nominee in Harris who did not get a single vote. The Vice President who represents the party claiming to be fighting to save Democracy did not receive a single vote to be the Democratic Nominee. Most on the left have also repeatedly supported censorship.

The best examples of leftist leaders in the US suppressing free speech was in 2020 with Hunter Biden’s laptop and then during COVID as well. Robert Kennedy Jr. is supporting Trump primarily because the left is the threat to Democracy these individuals are trying in a true Orwellian sense to paint Trump as.

The disdain that most of the leaders of the left have for both Trump and his supporters is on display nearly every day. From the multiple assassination attempts, the reference to Trump supporters as deplorable, the disgusting recent attempt by the corrupt mainstream media to link the former President to Nazis, and the horrendous mistreatment of even peaceful January sixth protestors, many on the left have clearly shown that these individuals regard Trump supporters as an enemy no different than foreign adversaries the US has faced.

In past election cycles the media was able to destroy candidates that were a threat to the establishment like Newt Gingrich in 2012 or Herman Cain. John King actually helped Gingrich’s campaign in 2012 by opening a debate by asking an absurd question about the former Speaker’s sexual life, and even Fox tried at first to derail Trump, with Meghan Fox attacking Trump in the first Republican primary debate in 2016. The attacks on Trump did not work though, because the American public already knows who the former President is, he is a defined entity.

The reality is that despite the incendiary and absurd rhetoric coming from the Democrats about Trump, many on the left are actually talking about the American people when these leaders say that MAGA is a threat to Democracy. The irony is that the same people who say they are defending Democracy are actually trying to destroy the idea of citizens picking their leaders, in the truest Orwellian sense. In just the last four years Biden and many Democrats have indicted the former President, prosecuted him and his supporters, and even spied on his campaign in 2016. The Democratic Party refuses to respect Trump or his movement, and that’s likely why they will lose this election.
