Trump Didn’t Pick Matt Gaetz To Push The Democrat’s Buttons

Typical of Donald Trump, he didn’t win the election and then suddenly decide not to rock the boat a little. As he was naming appointees for various positions, he named one that raised some eyebrows and tightened some political backsides.

Matt Gaetz was the president-elect’s choice for Attorney General and entered the fray carrying some baggage of his own. Nothing, that compares to the exploits of Hunter Biden, which was conveniently swept under the rug, but enough for Democrats to feign outrage.

Gaetz’s choice was a surprise, but after four years of the Biden-Harris nightmare, the reason he chose Gaetz should warm the hearts of all people who are sick and tired of radicals running amuck. A Trump advisor reportedly mentioned that Gaetz was selected because he brought an intensity to the position that other candidates lacked.

The advisor told the Bulwark:

“None of the attorneys had what Trump wants, and they didn’t talk like Gaetz. Everyone else looked at AG as if they were applying for a judicial appointment. They talked about their vaunted legal theories and constitutional bullshit. Gaetz was the only one who said, ‘Yeah, I’ll go over there and start cuttin’ f*ckin’ heads.’”

Indeed! The left took great pleasure in jamming every type of perversion down our throats, and at this point, flushing the pipes is more than necessary. Besides, about thirty days into his presidency, President Joe Biden requested all Trump-appointed U.S. attorneys to resign. Trump allies now anticipate that the replacements appointed after that may resign before the president-elect even takes office.

In February 2021, Biden’s Department of Justice ordered nearly all remaining U.S. attorneys appointed by Trump to submit their resignations. In March 2017, U.S. attorneys appointed by Obama were also asked to resign immediately. As Trump approaches his second administration, allies of the president-elect have informed the Daily Caller that they expect a similar situation to occur, where U.S. attorneys will resign before the 47th president has a chance to make changes.

The removal of U.S. attorneys dates back several decades, beginning with President Ronald Reagan. In his first two years in office, Reagan replaced 89 U.S. attorneys. Similarly, President Bill Clinton made the same number of changes in his first two years, while President George W. Bush replaced 88 during his initial two years in office.

Naturally, Democrats’ hair went up on the backs of their necks when they heard the Gaetz announcement. Still, after John Thune was selected to succeed “the turtle” Mitch McConnell, the longest-serving party leader in the chamber’s history, it signaled that the Senate could be more independent from Trump when Republicans control the White House and both chambers of Congress.

However, there’s another way to persuade them regarding the AG appointment, especially after how Comey put the wood to us last time. Why not offer them a choice?

If they don’t want Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, here’s another possibility. He recently resigned from his House seat to take the Attorney General position. If he doesn’t end up getting that role, he is from Florida, where Rubio just received the nomination for Trump’s cabinet. Perhaps they would prefer him as a senator instead?

Imagine if Ron DeSantis chose him to take over Marco Rubio’s Senate seat. That seat won’t be up for election again until 2028. Adam Schiff and the so-called uniparty wing of the GOP would be in convulsions.

Trump made a lot of mistakes in choosing his administration the first time around. Let’s hope this time he’s the one playing chess while the sludge and the deep state are playing checkers.
