Duke Liar Tells Jussie Smollett And Yemi Mobolade, “Hold My Beer”
The left clings to racism like Linus does his blanket. They try endlessly to infect the nation with the lie of systemic racism, and sadly, some believe because it benefits them in some way. Their outrage over racism, like all falsehoods they embrace, is very selective.
In July of 2019, Jussie Smollett feigned that he had been attacked. Chicago police stated they were investigating a suspected racist and homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett by two masked men, which happened at about 2:00 am. They say the actor was punched in the face, had an “unknown chemical substance” poured on him, and a rope wrapped around his neck.
Smollett tells police the two attackers also referred to MAGA, the slogan often used by President Donald Trump and his supporters.
In typical fashion, the MSM rushed to support Smollett and condemn Trump. The Chicago police smelled a rat, and a month later, Smollett was arrested and charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct. They had previously arrested two others that implicated Smollett in a staged attack. What happened next is a convoluted example of justice. Smollett was inexplicably found not guilty. Then, at a new trial, he was found guilty, but due to appeals, he only spent six days in jail. Two years later, his lawyers managed to get all charges dropped based on a legal technicality.
Still, the fact is Smollett orchestrated a staged fake attack designed to bring him sympathy and attention and used race-baiting to enflame his cowardly act further.
In April of last year, local news outlets in Colorado Springs received a shocking email, a photo and video of a burning cross, and a campaign sign of mayoral candidate Yemi Mobolade, a native of Nigeria, defaced with the N-word in red spray paint.
“What has this city come to?” read the email, signed by “Citizens of Colorado Springs.” The email said this was “another one of their tactics to keep Yemi out.”
The writer expressed the belief that the racist message was likely perpetrated by supporters of Mobolade’s opponent, center-right Republican Wayne Williams.
“Candidate Wayne Williams is pushing hard to win this campaign, and I am completely appalled by the behavior of his followers and members who are engaging in this nonsense.”
Local TV news featured the story the following day. One anchor over dramatically hyped the story, saying, “Some of the footage in this story may be hard to watch.”
“What’s going on in Colorado Springs?” whined a Rocky Mountain NAACP spokesman. “Why is an African American who is running for mayor receiving these types of threats? It’s 2023.”
The president of the Colorado Springs NAACP expressed that the racist messaging was an attempt to intimidate voters. “We don’t consider this a hoax,” she told a local Fox reporter.
The problem is it was a hoax. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, three local activists were charged with using instruments of interstate commerce to convey false information in order “to intimidate someone by means of fire,” according to the charging documents.
The FBI investigated because the whole case reeks of a Jussie Smollett-like hoax. However, when the FBI referred the case to the DOJ, they came to Mobolade’s aid.
“The initial response from the Department of Justice was ‘we can’t indict the first black mayor of Colorado Springs,’ an FBI official said, adding, ‘In my experience, if anyone had been in that position, they would have been charged with lying to a federal agent.”
Last month, Colorado’s U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) indicted three individuals for conspiring to orchestrate a hoax display. Interestingly, the USAO’s press release regarding the indictment mentions that the current Mayor, Mobolade, is Black.
However, it does not disclose that the ringleader, known as “Phoenixx Ugrilla,” is also Black. Additionally, Ugrilla has a history of attempted murder of police officers in a different incident and was recently convicted of murder in another case. Notably, Ugrilla is also a supporter of Mayor Mobolade.
According to the indictment, Ugrilla messaged Mobolade both before and after the hoax. One month before the election, the supporter who orchestrated the hoax texted Mobolade, “I guarantee the finish.” This was one of five messages Ugrilla sent to Mobolade, including post-election texts like, “We got you through it all, brother,” and “Another time, though, we will handle business.”
Once again, Mobolade has not faced any charges despite being involved in orchestrating a hate crime and lying to the FBI.
But the most disgusting coupe de grace came earlier this week when Crystal Mangum, a black woman who falsely accused three white Duke lacrosse players of raping her in 2006, confessed that she lied and asked for the men’s forgiveness.
Mangum admitted her lie In an interview with Katerena DePasquale on her podcast, “Let’s Talk with Kat.” The interview was conducted at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, where Mangum is serving a sentence for a 2013 second-degree murder conviction of her then-boyfriend.
“I testified falsely against them by saying that they raped me when they didn’t, and that was wrong, and I betrayed the trust of a lot of other people who believed in me. I made up a story that wasn’t true because I wanted validation from people and not from God.”
Mangum alleged that Duke men’s lacrosse players David Evans, Collin Finnerty, and Reade Seligmann raped her at a team party where she and another woman were performing as strippers.
The players denied the allegations, and the story gained national attention. The lead prosecutor in the case, then-Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong, stated to an NBC News affiliate that he believed the sexual assault had occurred and that it was racially motivated.
According to court documents, in an interview, Nifong said:
“The information that I have does lead me to conclude that a rape did occur. The circumstances of the rape indicated a deep racial motivation for some of the things that were done. It makes a crime that is by its nature one of the most offensive and invasive, even more so. This is not a case of people drinking, and it getting out of hand from that. This is something much, much beyond that.”
Nifong was later disbarred in June 2007 by the North Carolina State Bar “for lying in court and withholding DNA evidence, which ultimately absolved the defendants of responsibility for Mangum’s allegations,” according to Duke University’s student news outlet The Chronicle.
Though the charges against Evans, Finnerty, and Seligmann were dismissed in April 2007, their lives were altered, with two of the three transferring to other colleges to complete their education.
North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper, a Democrat, opted not to prosecute Mangum for perjury after the case was dismissed due to concerns about her mental health.
“She may have genuinely believed the various stories she told,” he stated at the time, according to Fox News.
Notice the similarities in all of these cases. In all three, a black person accused people who are white of crimes that never occurred. In all three cases, the MSM rushed to judgment, and in all three cases, the perpetrator of the hoaxes and lies received little to no punishment for their crimes.
They say that “Love is Blind.” Too bad justice isn’t colorblind when obvious hoaxes are exposed.
