Is the Left Adding the Exploitation of Assassination to Their Arsenal of Treachery?
In 1980, there was an assassination attempt on the life of President Ronald Reagan. Six bullets were fired, and one of them ricocheted off a limousine and struck Reagan in the chest, piercing his left lung. Press Secretary James Brady was shot and permanently disabled. A District of Columbia police officer and a Secret Service agent were also hit.
Can you remember the would-be assassinโs name?
If you were alive in the 80s, of course you can.
The assassinโs name is John Hinckley Jr.
Fast forward to 2024
On July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, a lunatic out to kill President Trump was able to ascend to a nearby rooftop in close proximity to the stage where Trump was speaking. The shooter got off eight shots before he was killed by a sharpshooter. Three of the bullets hit Trump supporters, killing one of them. One of the bullets hit President Trump in the face.
Off the top of your head, do you know the psychopathโs name? You may, but I guarantee you most people would have no idea.
On September 15th, a second would-be assassin camped behind some shrubbery at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm beach, Florida. If not for the keen eyes of a Secret Service agent, who saw the barrel of a rifle sticking through the fence, President Trump might have been shot at yet again.
Do you know the second assassins name?
Little Information on Trumpโs Assassins
The name of the first assassin is Thomas Mathew Crooks.
You havenโt heard a whole lot about Crooks because, well, apparently, there isnโt much to say. The FBI claims Crooks was antisemitic and anti-immigrant in online posts he made when he was 15. However, the president of the platform Gab, where the posts were supposedly made, disputes these assertions.
In another bizarre twist, the shooter had encrypted email accounts, and he used encrypted messaging platforms in Belgium, New Zealand and Germany. While the FBI claims it has cracked the encryption code, no information on the content of the emails or text messages has been released, since the FBI claims the investigation is ongoing. However, FBI Assistant Director of Counterterrorism Favid Wells assures us Crooks had no ties with a foreign government or group.
โAt this time, the FBI has not identified a motive, nor any co-conspirators or associates of Crooks with advance knowledge of the attack. And I want to be clear: We have not seen any indication to suggest that Crooks was directed by a foreign entity to conduct the attack.โ
As is the norm in these situations, friends of Crooks say he was โquiet.โ Some say he was conservative, but he gave $15 to a progressive group. Crooks worked as a dietary aid, and his parents were social workers who kept high-powered rifles in their home.
Thatโs pretty much it. Thatโs all we have. Social media wiped clean and a background as bland as a vanilla shake.
After the event itself, Crooks quickly disappeared from media coverage, and not much has happened since. It was almost as though he had a mission and failed, so it was in the best interest of leftists to move past it.
Nothing more there to exploit for political gain.
The second would-be assassin’s name is Ryan Wesley Routh.
Routh is a 58-year-old man who owned a construction company in Hawaii. According to reports, he voted for Trump in 2016 but became disillusioned with the former president, calling the withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal a โtremendous blunder.โ
A strong advocate for Ukraine, Routh attempted to join the Ukraine Foreign Legion. Around the same time, he wrote a book titled, โUkraineโs Unwinnable War: The Fatal Flaw of Democracy, World Abandonment and the Global Citizen-Taiwan, Afghanistan, North Korea and the end of Humanity.โ
In the future, Routh is a likely Mandella effect candidate because many people are unaware that he was apprehended by officers as he attempted to flee the scene of the assassination attempt. Heโs still very much alive. In fact, Routh appeared in court this Thursday where his lawyers discussed the trial timeline, discovery and other pre-trial matters.
Did you see any media coverage of Routhโs appearance in court?
Again, much like Crooks, Routh serves no purpose to the left. His assassination attempt also failed, so he is nothing but baggage at this point. The sooner he is forgotten the better because that means there will be far fewer questions for the authorities to answer.
There is a scorn from the left for the two assassins that is greater than the disdain felt by the right. If either had succeeded in killing Trump, who was vilified as a Hitler clone, Crooks and Routh would probably have been celebrated as heroes by a large block of American Marxists. The celebration might have been quiet, but make no mistake, they would have relished the idea of a world without Trump. However, since they failed, both Crooks and Routh have been discarded by the left like yesterdayโs trash.
A New Assassin Hero Emerges, and the Left Rejoices
People may not remember the names of the two lunatics who tried to assassinate a former and future president, but Iโll give good odds that almost everyone has heard the name of Luigi Mangione by now. You know, the guy who (allegedly) brutally gunned down United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in midtown Manhattan in broad daylight.
It seems Mangione suffered from chronic back problems, and blamed health insurance companies for his distress. Mangione left behind a 262-page manifesto that was published within two days after his arrest. In his paper, he railed against the healthcare insurance industry.
“My tech is pretty locked down because I work in engineering so probably not much info there. I do apologize for any strife of traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy.”
Remember, leftists are not keen on releasing manifestos when doing so would damage a protected cause. For example, the trans Nashville shooterโs manifesto wasnโt released until eight months after the event, when the left knew its impact would be muted.
With Mangione, they saw an opportunity for exploitation and publicity, so they waded right in.
Forbes published an article that documented Mangioneโs quick ascension to folk hero status.
Elizabeth Warren expressed her sympathy for Mangione to the Huffington Post:
โThe visceral response from people across the country who feel cheated, ripped off, and threatened by the vile practices of their insurance companies should be a warning to everyone in the healthcare system.
โViolence is never the answer, but people can only be pushed so far.โ
Okay, Pocahontas. Your compassion for the family of the murdered victim is overwhelmingโฆ
Healthcare insurance companies are the best kind of target. They can be vilified, their CEOs make millions, and itโs easy to find โvictimsโ to exploit. They are a major impediment to socialized medicine, which is one of the leftโs most ambitious goals. In this case, while the left will offer platitudes over the killing of a father and husband, they want to quickly pivot away from the murder and towards a national โdiscussionโ about health insurance, which will be nothing more than a push for government-controlled healthcare.
Mangione, an entitled kid from a rich family who murdered someone, has received a ridiculous degree of support from the left. This includes a legal defense fund that has reached $55,000 as of this writing. Imagine that. A legal defense fund for the benefit of a probable psychopathic murderer.
The Leftโs Developing Assassination Strategy
Expect Luigi Mangione to dominate the news cycle for the immediate future if not beyond. Every hearing, deposition or sighting will provide another opportunity to disparage health insurance companies and their CEOs. As the cold-blooded murder of Brian Thompson fades from memory, leftists will make sure itโs replaced with more images of people who feel they were wronged by the health insurance industry. From their point of view, no one should ever be turned down for any type of care, whether they are contractually entitled to it or not.
Meanwhile, the two guys who tried to assassinate our president will continue to sink into the shadows of murky memories. In all probability, weโll never learn anything about the motivations or connections of the would be assassins.
Thatโs because one assassin serves a purpose, the other two do not.
