Netflix Takes Aim At Christmas
The inclusive left is at it again, vilifying and denigrating Christmas and Christian beliefs. If black history month or gay pride month were laughed at and mocked, the consequences would more than likely be “Mostly Peaceful” protests where buildings burned, and lives and careers were ruined.
Yet, a major streaming network doesn’t hesitate or attempt to disguise its intentions regarding Christians. They openly air blasphemy and offer no apology. I’m guessing their disdain for so many is all part of their being inclusive.
The platform in question is Netflix, and the movie is “That’s Christmas.” It’s ironic that a film with that name would have so little respect for the reason for the season. Even more ironic is that this movie disaster is supposedly family-oriented.
No attempt is made to hide the radical left influence. In a play set in the movie, three women play the three wise men, and the shepherds are portrayed as organic vegetable farmers.
The movie follows a diverse group of kids led by a rebellious teenager named Bernadette. At one point, the kids decide to produce a school Christmas play written by a couple of students who believe the traditional biblical nativity story is not good enough.
When Bernadette introduces the program, she describes Jesus as “a cool dude” with a beard and long hair who enjoys woodworking, referring to him as “a hipster, basically.”
“He (Jesus) wouldn’t have wanted us to do the same boring Christmas story year after year, right parents?” the child asked. “He’d want a strictly vegetarian, multi-cultural fun fest with lots of pop songs and stuff about climate change.”
If that alone didn’t make you gag as you were changing the channel, it gets worse. The nativity is all about the birth of a child, so it was inevitable that abortion would be brought up. Still, the disgraceful way they displayed their animosity for the continuation of life is disgusting.
The kid playing the Virgin Mary carries a watermelon with a face on it that is supposed to be baby Jesus. She sings Papa Don’t Preach, a 1986 song by Madonna about a teenage girl deciding whether or not to have an abortion.
At the end of the song, the girl holds up the watermelon, which is knocked out of her hand, and hits the floor, splattering on the audience.
The imagery is horrific and inexcusable. Sadly, this is not the first time the pro-abortion movement has ridiculed the nativity to promote abortion. Recently, some mock Christians who go by the name “Catholics For Choice” made the idiotic statement, “Mary had a choice, so should you,” which supports their narrow-minded ideals but goes directly against the teachings of the Catholic Church.
What a shame that this festering turd of a film was written and directed by Richard Curtis, who also wrote and directed “Love Actually” in 2003. That film was all about love and understanding, the total opposite of this disgrace.
This film mocks one of the two most significant Christian holidays of the year. This is unacceptable to the point that Netflix needs to do the right thing and eliminate it. The disrespect that this movie demonstrates is blatant and hateful. If any other religion were exploited in this way there would be outrage.
The left attacks what they don’t respect because they have a limited range of understanding about things that matter. Attacking the core beliefs of anyone infringes on their souls.
Netflix doesn’t get to give Christians the middle finger and then walk away. There are plenty of other things to watch.
Let’s make sure they understand that fact.
