A Poisoned Pulpit Ruins The Inaugural Prayer Service
After his inauguration on Monday, President Trump’s first full day in office activities included attending the inaugural prayer service at the National Cathedral. Unfortunately, the pulpit was poisoned by a woke bishop who decided to forgo a sermon on Christianity and faith and instead launched into a disturbing lecture on illegal aliens and the LGBTQ community.
The lecturer is a radical, woke leftist and an Episcopal Bishop named Mariann Edgar Budde. In her speech, Budde ignored the fact that despite what some claim, the bible and Christianity do not support the LGBTQ agenda, and in a place of worship, her perverse ideologies are not appropriate or welcome.
Speaking directly to Trump, Budde spewed her radical ideologies on perverted alternative lifestyles and those who enter our country illegally as though they were written on stone tablets.
“Millions have put their trust in you. As you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in both Democratic, Republican, and independent families who fear for their lives.”
Budde then voiced her warped opinions on the state of illegal aliens.
“The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat-packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. They may not be citizens, or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors.”
She then added:
“Have mercy” on people “in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away and that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here.”
“Our God teaches us that we are to be merciful to the stranger, for we were all once strangers in this land. May God grant us the strength and courage to honor the dignity of every human being, to speak the truth to one another in love, and walk humbly with each other and our God.”
This is disturbing on many levels and demonstrates the brazen, self-righteous manner that the far left will stoop to in order to highlight their perversions as though they are truths.
Newsmax host Todd Starnes revealed another very disconcerting viewpoint: Franklin Graham told him that the National Cathedral had long since fallen.
“Franklin Graham told me on my podcast that the National Cathedral has fallen into the hands of LGBT activists. So, it’s not surprising this ‘lady bishop’ spewed hate at Donald Trump today.”
“The National Cathedral has become a sanctuary of Satan.”
Although Grahm’s opinion may sound overstated, I would argue that it isn’t. The left is most definitely advocating for evil in everything from abortion to transgender child mutilation. Their hatred for anything Christian is obvious.
This behavior was foretold in many bible verses. One of the most straightforward can be found in 1st Timothy 4:1 which says:
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”
