Fool Me Once, Shame On You. Fool Me Eighty-Seven Times Shame On The Democrats

This is one of those stories that truly demonstrates the incompetence of cities languishing under Democratic control. Two weeks ago, Kathy Hochul tried to deceive the citizens of New York by holding a press conference to brag about what she claimed were improved crime numbers on the subway. So, it was enjoyable watching a savvy reporter shut her down by pointing out the real numbers, which are anything but flattering. Since then, on Hochulโ€™s safe subway system, an illegal alien murdered a woman by setting her on fire, and another lunatic attacked and stabbed two people without provocation.

However, this story gets even worse when you learn the background of the man who was busted for the stabbings. His name is Jamar Banks. Heโ€™s 52 years old, and he has been arrested 88 times, including this most recent arrest.

Let that sink in. How in the hell is someone who has been arrested 87 times still roaming around in public? That is a catastrophic failure of the system on every front. When he was busted, he was still carrying a โ€œlarge knifeโ€ that police believe he used in the attacks.

Banks was wanted for allegedly stabbing a 31-year-old man on a No. 2 train at 14th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan on Wednesday following an argument with his victim, according to police.

He is also suspected of initiating another argument with an off-duty MTA cleaner around 6 a.m. Thursday. Following the argument, he allegedly stabbed his victim in the back and armpit on the northbound No. 6 train platform at Pelham Bay station in The Bronx, according to police. The attacker fled the scene after both stabbings, and both victims were transported to hospitals, where they are in stable condition.

For these attacks, Banks is being held on first-degree assault and third-degree weapons possessionโ€‹ charges. This is after he was arrested twice in November for petty theft. He was released then with summonses to appear later in court.

Banks has a long rap sheet that includes arrests for alleged attempted murder, weapons possession, assault, criminal trespassing, turnstile jumping, and petty larceny. He also (No kidding) has a history of mental illness.

In June 1997, Banks was charged with attempted murder after an incident in which a man bumped into him. According to reports, this confrontation led Banks to shoot the man in the leg. The victim stated that he was walking on East 226th Street in the Bronx when he collided with Banks. After the encounter, as he was about to enter a store, Banks allegedly opened fire.

According to law enforcement, Banks, who was 24 years old at the time, faced charges including intent to commit murder, assault with intent to cause serious injury using a weapon, criminal use of a firearm in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

In June 2015, Banks was accused of emerging from a McDonaldโ€™s bathroom located at 14th Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan and stabbing a man who had knocked on the door to check if the restroom was occupied.

According to police, on October 19, 2022, Banks allegedly stabbed a man in the leg with a kitchen knife on a Manhattan subway. The 26-year-old victim told police he boarded the northbound No. 2 train at Fulton Street and that his attacker got on at 72nd Street and attempted to sit on his girlfriendโ€™s lap.

When the victim asked Banks to step back, Banks allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the lower left leg.

We donโ€™t know what other things are on Banksโ€™s rap sheet, but before these most recent two stabbings, we know that he shot someone and had two different instances where he used a knife to stab people. That trio of attacks alone should have kept him off of the streets.

87 arrests are unheard of, but this is what happens when Democrats institute their revolving-door arrest policies. In their misguided attempts to create equity, they forsake the victims and encourage more criminal behavior.

Banks now ranks second as the most recent poster child for poor Democratic leadership. Heโ€™s terrible, but heโ€™s no Hunter Biden.
