The America First Standard #3: The Real Amount of Deportations in the 2nd Trump admin
The first article in the “The America First Standard” series here on RVIVR focused on the issue of mass deportations. Based on the evidence provided in that previous article, I was fairly skeptical of the amount of deportations that we would actually see under the 2nd Trump administration.
Well, we are now over a week into the 2nd Trump administration. So, we actually now have concrete numbers regarding the real amount of deportations that ICE is conducting on a daily basis.
Of course, there has been plenty of media hype surrounding the topic of deportations. The Left-wing Regime media has certainly freaked out over the Trump administration overturning the “open borders” policies of the Biden administration.
So, here is the real question: are we getting mass deportations under the Trump administration?
Well thankfully, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has started publishing daily “enforcement updates” showing the amount of arrests that ICE is making on a daily basis.
Let’s start by looking at the amount of arrests that ICE made over the past week:
-Jan 23rd: 538 arrests
-Jan 24th: 593 arrests
-Jan 25th: 286 arrests
-Jan 26th: 956 arrests
-Jan 27th: 1,179 arrests
-Jan 28th: 969 arrests
-Jan 29th: 1,1016 arrests
Over seven days, ICE arrested 5,537 illegal aliens over a week-span. On average, we are seeing roughly 800 arrests by ICE each day.
If we extrapolate that average rate of 800 arrests per day, then we would expect to see around 290 thousand arrests each year. Assuming that every singe arrested individual gets deported. Then, we would only see 1.2 million deportations over Trump’s ENTIRE four-year term.
For context, at least 10 million illegal aliens entered the United States under the Biden administration. In order to get rid of the illegal aliens who came in from the past four years, the Trump admin will need to deport nearly SEVEN THOUSAND illegal aliens every day for the next four years in order to get rid of every single illegal alien from the Biden administration.
Not to mention, there were at minimum 10 million illegal aliens living in the United States before Joe Biden became president. So, we would still have tens of millions of illegal aliens in America even if we deported all of the illegal aliens that came over durinf the Biden admin.
Clearly, only 800 deportations a day is not going to cut. A few hundred thousand deportations per year is not the campaign of “Mass Deportations” that the Trump campaign promised us in 2024.
Now, we may start seeing more daily deportations under the Trump administration. Media outlets have claimed that Trump has requested ICE to deport at least 1,200-1,500 illegals per day. But in reality, 1,500 deportations a day for four years straight will only result in 2 million deportations during Trump’s entire 2nd term.
No matter how you cut it, the low amount of deportations so far in the 2nd Trump administration is fairly concerning. Unless some radical changes occur, Americans will not be getting the mass deportations that we have needed for many decades.
Of course, deporting a few million illegal aliens is still better than the “open border” policies of the previous administration. But unfortunately, decades of mass illegal immigration is already shaping up to be too big of an issue for the Trump administration ans the Republican-led Congress to solve over the next four years.
