Ignorant New Snow White Now Tries To “Snow” America
There are two culprits in this story who deserve the results that they themselves have generated. First, there is the Disney Corporation. With very few exceptions, they have churned out flop after flop after flop. The reason is obvious: everything Disney touched went disgustingly woke. Instead of sticking to entertaining people, Disney decided to try and groom their rapidly shrinking audiences with both blatant and subtle references to LGBTQ and race issues. They talked down to their audience, and their superior tone did not sit well with the rational public.
Typically, there might be some sadness in losing what many consider an American institution. Still, in Disney’s case, their profound arrogance has delighted most people with their struggles. They have moved so far to the left that it’s difficult to comprehend their reasoning. The other reason that they have fallen so far out of favor is that their programming is deliberately geared toward children, so they are knowingly polluting young minds with woke messaging.
Disney pretends that it doesn’t understand why almost everything it touches tanks, but its audiences have made it very clear. They do not want Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lectures in every movie. They don’t want LGBTQ characters injected into film, especially when, in previous movies, the same character was not that way. They also don’t want characters to change genders or race for no reason other than to appease a bitter few.
Enter Rachel Zegler, a 23-year-old who reeks of arrogance. Disney tabbed Zegler to play Snow White even though she is of Columbian and Polish descent. Her darker skin is in direct contrast to the original Snow White. Now, before anyone interprets that comment as racist, I could care less about the color of her skin; what I do care about is that this is another attack by Disney on tradition.
Disney faced criticism for changing the Indiana Jones franchise by replacing the main character with a female lead. They made a disaster of the Star Wars Franchise, which runs on Disney+. Titled The Acolyte, the series’ creators and cast promoted it as “the gayest Star Wars yet.” The woke critics liked the show, but the public sent a clear message to Disney. Dailey Caller reported that the 26 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating The Acolyte garnered is the worst Star Wars rating ever.
The show’s star, Amanda Stenberg, who identifies as nonbinary, gave an interview in 2018, saying that her goal in the movie “The Hate You Give” was to “make white people cry.”
You see, Disney has no respect for tradition, and neither does Zegler. In a 2022 clip from the Disney D23 Expo that year, Zegler made headlines when she commented that her rendition of the fairy tale would be more modern than the original film, suggesting that a mythical Snow White does not need a man.
“She’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
After Trump won the election, Zegler shared several messages on her Instagram account, further alienating most of the country.
“I find myself speechless in the midst of this. Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in,” she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“I shouldn’t be this shocked, but I am. I am heartbroken for my friends who awoke in fear this morning. And I am here with you—to cry, to yell, to hug, to wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward. This loss should not have been, and it certainly should not have been by so many votes.”
In a follow-up post, she added there is a “deep, deep sickness” in the United States due to how many people voted for a “man who threatens our democracy.”
However, in typical leftist fashion and with the release of the movie scheduled for next month, Zegler now wants to try and clean up the hatred and ignorance she vomited before.
In an interview with Variety in October of last year, Zegler said:
“In all honesty, it made me sad that my comments were taken in such a way because I believe that women can do anything. But I also believe that they can do everything.”
She also tried to undo the damage she had done with her comments about the original Snow White.
“I would never want to box someone in and say, ‘If you want love, then you can’t work.’ Or ‘If you want to work, then you can’t have a family.’ It’s not true, its never been true. It can be very upsetting when things get taken out of context, or jokes don’t land. The love story is very integral. A lot of people wrote that we weren’t doing [that storyline] anymore; we were always doing that; it just wasn’t what we were talking about on that day.”
Recently, she tried again to avoid the flop heading her way.
“I interpret people’s feelings about this film as passion for it, and what an honor to be able to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” she told Vogue Mexico in a profile published Monday.
“We’re not always going to have the same feelings as everyone around us, and all we can do is give our best.”
Nice try, but neither you nor Disney can “Snow” the American public anymore. You’re right; people are passionate about the ORIGINAL Snow White movie, but they hold no such passion towards this woke debacle that opens in March. This disaster of a remake has already been delayed by at least a year due to backlash over the company’s approach to the classic story, resulting in extensive rewrites and reshoots.
Zegler, like most of Hollywood, needs to realize that no one cares about what you think. Americans are free to enjoy any movies they wish. What makes your actions even more nauseating is that someone at the age of 23 can be so disgustingly arrogant and smug.
Your woke version of a classically loved movie will definitely be a disaster, and millions of Americans will be elated, as will Prince Charming and The Brothers Grimm.
