The Failing Liberal Media Ignores Another Bombshell as the Charges Against Mayor Adams are Dismissed
The left has tried incessantly to use labels to try and smear President Trump and his MAGA movement. Since the Democrats have no subsantive message or real policy ideas most Americans find appealing, the President’s opposition likes use misleading terms that have no meaning when applied to Trump’s movement. In the last 9 years the left has tried to repeatedly smear MAGA as a white supremacist and white nationalist movement in addition to frequently false dismissing Trump’s criticism of government overreach as a conspiracy theory.
When Trump and his supporters spoke out against the weaponization of the Justice Department and the legal system over the last four years, the President’s correct criticisms were always dismissed by the corrupt and failing legacy media. The left tried to hide behind their argument that no one is above the law, although the treatment of Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton clearly showed the double standard. Still, there is now defenitiver proof of what any objective observer already knew, the Justice Department was targetting the Biden administration’s political enemies, including current New York Mayor Eric Adams.
New York City’s resources have been stretched to the limit by the failed and disgraceful open border policy that the Biden administration pursued. New York City spent $1.47 on illegal immigrants in 2023, and and $3.75 billion in 2024. This spending was on housing and services for illegal immigrants, and these numbers likely significantly underrepresent the overall expenditures on illegals since the health care costs of providing service to these individuals are very high as well. Less than 30 percent of this spending was reimbursed by the state of New York, and the federal government was not compensating NYC for most of these allocations either.
Mayor Adams began to speak out against the Biden regime in late 2023, when he stated that help wasn’t coming from the Federal Government to deal with the crisis at the border. A couple of months later the New York Democrat increased the intensity of his words, saying that Biden had turned his back on his city. Soon after this criticism of the disgusting previous administration, Adams was indicted in September of 2024 by the Justice Department over supposed bribes from the Turkish Government involving low-level upgrades on flights and discounted hotel stays when he was on foreign trips. There were also unproven allegations that the Mayor got foreign contributions for his campaign.
US Attorney Danielle Sassoon and five others involved in the political prosecution of the mayor recently quit when asked by Trump’s deputy attorney general, Emil Bove, to drop the pathetic charges brought against Adams. Bove stated that his office made a clear finding that the case against Adams was an example of the weaponization of the Justice Department and that Sassoon was also pursuing the New York Democrat in part to seek higher-up appointments in a potential Harris White House. The Justice Department just found clear and concrete evidence that the despicable previous administration, the Biden regime, was using the legal system to target people such as Adams who were clearly viewed as political enemies.
While the corrupt legacy media tried to spin the dismissal of the charges against Adams by saying that the mayor had cut a deal with Trump to cooperate with Homan on deportations, this is a patently absurd interpretation of what happened. Every leader should be working with the Federal Government to remove people who are here illegally, no one needs a plea deal to follow the law and do the right thing. Adams comments also clearly show that he wanted to work with the Feds to deport the massive numbers of illegal in New York City prior to the case against him being dismissed. The Mayor has stated New York City will remain a sanctuary domain.
The finding that the Justice Department was weaponized against a prominent political leader because he spoke the truth about the failed border policies of the Biden regime confirms what any objective observer knew, the legal system was use to persecute political enemies of the previous administration. Now that the case against the Mayor has been dropped, Adams cooperation with Homan on deportations can set the tone for the deseperately needed national deportations Trump ran on. The Democrats can also no longer put up a unified front of opposition against the President’s policies, the Mayor’s cooperation gives political cover to other state and local Democratic leaders who want to do the right thing. President Trump ran on restoring confidence in the rule of law and deporting those who came here illegally, the Justice Department’s decision to drop the sham case against Adams is an important first step in fulfilling these promises.
