Taking The High Road Often Misses The Point

I saw an expression on a friend’s wall that I worked with: “If you wrestle with a pig in the mud, eventually you realize that the pig likes it.”

That saying refers to getting down in the mud with someone who’s used to it is essentially battling them on their home turf. While that may be true, it gets awfully old allowing others to mock and belittle everything that conservatives stand for.

Conservatives, despite what Liberal Democrats have convinced the media to preach, are not the ones looting and setting fires when something happens that they disagree with. Case in point, how many were killed or injured when Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old black student, stabbed a 17-year-old white student over a minor disagreement at a track meet? How many businesses were looted? How many were burned? The correct answer, of course, is zero, but if you reversed the races of the students involved, would anyone believe the number would be zero?

The bottom line is that the left always gets off too easily. Taking the high road may be admirable, but too often, it doesn’t lead anywhere. Remaining stoic and dignified looks nice, but the left never learns a thing when those they are attacking remain passive.

There are times when conservatives need to get down in the mud and get dirty with the liberal lunatics. The view may be better from the high road, but it’s time for their ignorance to be publicly highlighted, and that can only be accomplished by beating them at their own game. It may be uncouth and lack dignity, but let’s face facts, at this point in history, it’s hard to offend society more than the left already has.

This past Sunday, Christians celebrated Easter, which they considered to be the most significant event in history. For believers, it’s an emotional weekend that swings from the depths of despair with Jesus’s death on Friday to elation with his resurrection on Sunday. It is a revered and sacred time for Christians, a personal time that is embraced by millions, and yet, despite its reverence, it is mocked and attacked for no other reason than some freaks disagree with Christian beliefs.

The group in question, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, is a San Francisco-based drag queen organization that has faced criticism for its annual Easter event. This event is seen as openly mocking Christianity while also promoting transgender ideology to children.

This year’s controversial event, titled “No Easter Without the T,” includes an Easter egg hunt for children and a drag-themed costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to dress as characters such as “Hunky Jesus” and “Foxy Mary.”

According to a report by Fox News, the promotional poster for the event features an image of a tattooed “Jesus” surrounded by men in drag.

Let’s be honest. Which group deserves to be ridiculed? Christians who believe that children should not be exposed to full grown hairy men who dress up in their sister’s slips and high heels, or the men who actually make fools of themselves in public by dressing up that way and prancing around public parks, libraries, or anywhere liberal fools will allow them to display their perversion?

The group’s website features previous contest winners, including “Barbie’s Ken Jesus,” “Historically Accurate Jesus,” “Transgender Maria de Guadalupe,” “Pro-Choice Mary,” and “Black Woman as God.”

Photos from past events depict individuals dressed as Jesus, wearing high heels and holding signs that say, “Can I get a gaymen?” and “Haus of Jesus.”

Logan Church, who has the perfect last name for his role, is the political director of CatholicVote. He criticized the group’s actions in a statement to Fox News, saying:

“The so-called ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ have made it their mission to mock Christianity with open hostility, and this blasphemous Easter event is just the latest example.”

“This is not bold, it’s not brave, and it’s certainly not art. It’s bigotry dressed in costume, and Americans are right to be outraged. Let’s be clear: Sacrilege is not a religion, and it is not protected under the banner of religious freedom. While we live in a country that defends free speech, that does not mean Christians are required to sit silently while our faith is ridiculed. We have every right, and every reason, to push back.”

Amen, Logan, but when will you do more than make strong statements?

This group of total idiots believes they are justified to mock a religion followed by millions upon millions of people because its followers don’t believe in the insanity of the left. They know they can get away with it because the conservatives they are attacking constantly take the “High Road” and do nothing.

It’s time to start waging public war against groups like this. It’s time to print posters that openly mock them and to plan public events where their moronic behavior is laughed at and ridiculed. Since they take such delight in deliberately trying to humiliate Christians, it’s past time for them to be humiliated themselves.

They chose to not only ambush Jesus, but also almost every conservative value embraced by average Americans.  As such, they are fair game for any non-violent retribution that can be imagined.

The left loves to sling mud because they think Conservatives are too timid to get dirty. It’s time to prove them wrong. Rather than standing by idly and getting hit with mud, we might as well jump in and beat them at their own game.

It may not be neat and dignified, but the “High Road” isn’t what it used to be. Besides, we’re tougher and wiser, and we have biology, science, and common sense on our side.

Vive la différence.
