The Left Will Keep Pushing Democrats Over A Political Cliff

The Democratic Party of the 1990s is long gone. When Bill Clinton worked with Newt Gingrich to reform welfare, cut spending, and cut regulations, the far-left was an important but quiet part of a working coalition that listened to the public and represented working-class people. Today, the far-left runs the Democratic party. The Democrats are now the party of open borders, defunding the police, and obsessing over what the left calls climate change. The Democratic party represents nobody and no one, the number of Americans approving of this failing party is literally below 30 percent now.

The country spoke clearly and loudly in November last year, Americans endorsed Trump and rejected Harris and the left. The country has now seen 12 years of failed Democratic policies under Obama and Biden, and the citizens of this nation have had enough. Most Americans want a secure border, a foreign policy that promotes peace through strength, lower taxes, and an administration that prioritizes the middle class. Indeed, while Repoublicans are fighting to rebuild the working-class the Democrat’s open borders policies and climate change proposals in total are effectively a war on the middle-class of this country. The right is listening to the country while the left is ignoring and lecturing Americans.

When the Democrats lost three consecutive Presidential elections in 1980, 1984, and 1988, the party pivoted to the middle with Clinton as the nominee in 1992. Still, the majority of the base of the party has continually shifted to the left since the 1990s, with working-class people now shifting to the Republican party. The Reagan Democrats are now Trump Republicans. There is an old saying that those who ignore history are bound to repeat it, and the obvious move for the Democratic party is to recognize that Trump and his MAGA movement simply have a larger working coalition than the left, and to become a more moderate political entity.

That isn’t happening though on the left. Today, the most powerful voices in the failing Democratic party are actually even more radical leaders such as AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Kamala Harris. There are very moderates on the left that have any significant support in the Democratic party or with the country as whole. This fact is not going to change. Most of the younger generation of Democrats are even more progressive and radical than the older generation. Many of these people have been radicalized by a failing university system, and the younger leaders on the left such as AOC and Ilhan Omar are even less moderate than their older peers such as Pelosi and Schumer. The energy in the Democratic party is on the left, not in the middle, and the younger generation of Democrat leaders are even more more willing to support socialist and other radical ideas. The fact that many younger and more progressive Democrats have significant student loan debt in addition to not growing up or remembering the failed socialist and communist regimes seen during the cold war, makes these individuals more willing to accept and support failed left-wing ideas as well.

The number one issue that the Biden administration prioritized during his failed time as President was climate change, with the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. The majority of middle-class people do not care about this issue. Trump has come in and focused on exactly what he ran on, rebuilding the middle class by renegotiating trade deals, standing up to China, and trying to end conflicts in the Middle East and Europe. While the President is fighting to rebuild the middle class, the left waging war on working-class people. Today’s Democratic party is a failed entity, and the next generation of politicans are likely going even more radical and clueless than the current incompetent leadership on the left.
