Biden Is On The Wrong Side Of The Fence Again
H.L. Mencken was a prominent American journalist, essayist, cultural critic, and philologist. He was known for his sharp wit, satirical writing style, and outspoken American society and culture critiques. One of his quotes concerning politicians and fences stated:
“A politician is an animal which can sit on a fence and yet keep both ears to the ground.”
That is, of course, unless you’re Joe Biden. Biden is a lifelong politician, but he’s also a Democrat, and Liberals like Biden only wish they could sit on a fence. Instead, they always find themselves on the wrong side of any fence they come across, whether it is literal or figurative.
For instance, Charles and Heather Maude are 5th-generation ranchers in South Dakota who the Biden administration was trying to put in prison for up to 10 years for a fence built by their families a century ago.
The obvious question here is: What crime did the Maudes commit that was so serious that Biden was not only eager but anxious to imprison this hard-working couple and take away their family ranch?
It seems that the Maudes’ ranch abuts the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, and one of their fences extends into the national park.
The area has been disputed for decades. Buffalo Gap was designated a national park in 1960, long after the Maude families had relocated there.
As one neighbor stated:
“The fence that was there had been there since the 1950s. They didn’t just move the fence yesterday.”
To try and settle the dispute, the Maudes agreed to survey the property.
When the survey revealed that the fence extended into public lands, the Biden administration did not take the sensible approach of grandfathering the structure in, which is typically done in such situations. They also didn’t request that the Maudes move it.
Fortunately, the Trump administration has remedied the situation. Trump knows all too well about the corruption of lawfare and ended this ridiculous persecution over 25 acres of grasslands.
Not only did the Trump administration drop these unfounded charges, but its Department of Agriculture established a lawfare portal for other farmers and ranchers targeted by the Biden administration.
The portal has the following description:
“USDA launched a new web portal for potential farmers, ranchers, and USDA customers who have fallen victim to unfair and politically motivated lawfare originating under the Biden Administration. Impacted individuals or businesses can submit their concerns and experiences below so the USDA team can promptly address the situation.”
The Biden administration catered to the whims of millions of illegal aliens. Yet, they chose to bully and torture an innocent, hard-working, all-American family, even stooping to the level of threatening to take their children and imprison them.
This is beyond lawfare; this is liberal derangement syndrome. What they put this family through was cruel and unusual mental torture, and all involved need to be exposed and punished for overstepping the bounds of reason and morality.
