Is That Mr Trump Flirting with Mrs Clinton Again?

My hopes were dashed back in the fall when a Trump-Hillary rematch didn’t come to pass—though the alternative was serviceable enough. Still, that contest might have dragged a little story back into the limelight, at least in certain circles, a story hiding in plain sight: the Clintons’ uncanny penchant for hovering around death and tragedy.

It’s a story I’m beginning to wonder will ever be seriously exposed to the American public.

And that wonder has created a kind of new disinterest in me I didn’t even know was there until I started to write this article this morning.

Over the weekend, Trump did a little something to nudge that story back into the ‘news’—in a way reminiscent of what he did in 2016, when he shined a sudden light on the Clinton Foundation’s role in post-earthquake Haiti.

For more details on the video itself, Laura Loomer reposted the video on X—check the comment section for more information.

In regards to the media gatekeeping of the story, on Saturday, The Washington Post reported that Trump had shared a 2016 video on Truth Social suggesting the Clintons were connected to numerous deaths. The article labels these claims as “baseless conspiracy theories,” insisting that each case cited in the video has been thoroughly investigated with no evidence linking the Clintons to foul play. The Post emphasizes that Trump’s promotion of such narratives continues a pattern of false or misleading statements about political opponents.

Here’s how The Post tells it—steering us firmly away from any unauthorized interpretations:

Among a litany of social media posts shared by Donald Trump on Saturday, the sitting president dredged up a 2016 video rehashing old, false claims implying that former president Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton are tied to several deaths.

Trump has made thousands of false or misleading statements about his political opponents across his two terms in office, and he has repeatedly vowed to use the power of the federal government to punish his foes. Democrats have long warned that such baseless rhetoric could lead to violence.

The video, overlaid with the caption, “THE VIDEO HILLARY CLINTON DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SEE,” perpetuates the long-standing “Clinton body count” conspiracy theory, which claims that the Clintons are responsible for the deaths of several individuals who could be seen as political opponents. The claims, however, are false.

The article details the specific cases mentioned in the video, including the deaths of John F Kennedy Jr, Mary Mahoney, Vince Foster, James McDougal, and Seth Rich, providing context and official findings that refute the video’s implications. The Post also notes that the video has been shared over 6,000 times from Trump’s account and that representatives for Trump and the Clintons did not respond to requests for comment.

Throughout the piece, The Post maintains a tone outright stating that their report is factually correct, reiterating the lack of evidence supporting the video’s claims and highlighting concerns from Democrats about the potential for such rhetoric to incite violence.

Ok, WaPo, clearly you must be telling the truth.

And if you’re still curious, even The Times of India has had some things to say. Here are just a few of the eyes we’ve kept on Mrs Clinton:

Personally—and I’m not necessarily speaking for the site—I’ve lost the itch for justice in this case, and in so many others. While every single little detail will never be known, the American people should know the outlines of this scandal–and by extension so many others–by now. They should be actively looking, discerning, adjusting their lives in light of all the lies and crimes perpetrated by their celebrity rulers.

Not to mention these WaPo, Mockingbird “fact-checkers.”

Trump has given us that permission over the years, and I applaud him for that. But with each passing post like this he’s also giving people who have already been doing all the work permission to wonder why he is posting it at all–if only the people who already know all of this are going to be the only ones paying attention, much less believing it.

Time and circumstance enough have passed since my initial commentaries going back to 2022 that the American people just needed enough time and limited hangout headlines to wake up to the truth. And certainly, many, many Americans have done that.

That deserves even more applause–but enough.

That time has passed.

And those limited hangouts have come aplenty.

People who are still using the “conspiracy theorist” pejorative regarding Clinton crimes because The Post and CNN and even Fox News don’t cover all of these stories–when so many dots have coalesced into a relatively manageable picture anyway–will likely never get it.

We don’t discount Trump’s post per se. What we are wondering is who is out there left to convince, after the man has done so much already.

As for Mrs Clinton specifically, whether she receives retribution in this life doesn’t much matter to me anymore. I hope she repents before facing a much greater justice in the next, but that’s not a new thought either, as my footnote after every article shows. And maybe providing a little satire about this strange never-ending and never-satisfying dalliance between Trump and Clinton is the best.

May everyone named directly or referenced indirectly ask forgiveness and do penance for their sins against America and God. I fight this information war in the spirit of justice and love for the innocent, but I have been reminded of the need for mercy and prayers for our enemies. I am a sinner in need of redemption as well after all, for my sins are many. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, Lord forgive us all, for we know not what we do.
