Kamala Harris Is Officially Irrelevant After Absurd Speech
The ability of politicians to adjust often defines their careers. While some leaders have been able to maintain the same values and beliefs for their entire time in power, most leaders have to adjust as the times change. Ronald Reagan switched parties, Trump changed views on some issues such as abortion, and even Bernie Sanders reversed his views on immigration to keep his support with the left-wing base. The country spoke clearly in November of 2024, Americans sided with Trump and his MAGA agenda, and the people also rejected both Harris and the left. Trump won the popular vote by nearly 3 million in 2024.
Kamala Harris clearly still wants to be part of politics. She was seen in public appearances with her husband at sports games several times in the weeks after losing to Trump, attempting to show she was an ordinary person, and the former Vice President also talked about wanting to remain in what she referred to as the fight as well. When Harris gave her first major speech since her resounding loss to Trump last night, as incompetent of a candidate and person as the former Senator is, the moment was a chance for her to pivot and stay relevant on the national stage. She failed miserably.
There has been a clear change in the approach several leading Democrats have taken to dealing with Trump in his second administration. While some on the left such as Governor Pritzker and Bernie Sanders continue to fight and argue with everything the President says, others such as Governor Whitmer and Senator Fetterman of Pennsylvania have been willing to work with Trump. The country has spoken and the Democrat’s attempts to lie and gaslight about Trump and the MAGA movement are not working. The left has also lost control of the narrative because of Musk’s purchase of X and the increasingly decentralized media landscape as well.
Kamala Harris, as pathetic as her candidacy was, had a clear opportunity to pivot as Whitmer has ,and talk about the need to work with Trump, despite her significant differences with the current President. The former Vice President has an opportunity to try to turn the page on 8 years of failed attempts by the left to prosecute and impeach Trump and signal a willingness to work with and cooperate with Republicans on issues the Democrats care about. Harris had a chance to try to communicate the need to return to normalcy in American politics, she chose to do the exact opposite, and this decision will likely end here relevancy on the national stage. The country has moved on from the left, and America has also moved on from Harris and her pathetic brand of nasty politics.
When the country sided with Trump and his MAGA movement the talking points that Trump was fascist and a threat to Democracy were destroyed, because a person can no longer make these claims without saying that Americans themselves are these pejoratives. The election of 2024 creates a clear need for the Democrats to pivot to the middle and work with the current President. This is a moment for leaders to meet, and Harris failed, yet again, in every possible way. The former Senator from California confirmed her irrelevance on the national stage after her speech last night.
