The Left’s Double Standards and Racism is again on Full Display with Their Criticism of the Ashli Babbitt Settlement
If the left didn’t have double standards these radicals would have none at all. The same radicals who discussed no one being above the law were fine with Hunter Biden being pardoned and judges breaking laws to protect illegal immigrants despite being okay with the constant weaponization of the legal system against Trump and his supporters for 4 long years. The left is consumed by the need to be in power to control American society and the citizens of this country, these individuals will stop at nothing to keep the President from taking back control of the government of the citizens of this nation.
Many left-wing leaders have continuously gaslighted and lied about Trump and the MAGA movement for nearly a decade now, these radicals will sink to any low to keep the President from exercising his authority and returning power to the American people. The recent criticism by the Democrats of the settlement between the Justice Department and Ashli Babbitt’s family shows how pathetic most leaders of the party have become yet again. Babbit is a war hero who was unarmed when she tried to enter the capitol on January 6th, she was shot and killed by a capitol police officer. Babbit’s family had filed a 30 million dollar wrongful death lawsuit, and the Federal Government just settled the case for $5 million.
Democrats have been obsessed with the idea of police violence and the need to reform law enforcement actions for years. The left even championed the absurd and deadly defund the police movement, which led directly to the crime wave throughout Democratic states and cities after the Pandemic hit in 2020. The Police risk their lives every day for American citizens and are often not well paid, these individuals deserve far more respect than the Democrats show them. The left has cheered many violent riots against police, and the Democrats have also been happy to advocate for huge settlements for the families of black individuals who passed away as a result of lawful police action.
While the Democrats are quick to condemn police actions when the cops are white and the victims are black, even when the action by the law enforcement individuals was lawful, the left came strongly against Ashli Babbitt, even though the unarmed woman was shot in the neck for simply trying to enter the capitol. There was no need for the officer to shoot Babbitt, she was not trying to harm anyone, and the capitol policemen also could have easily shot Babbit in a nonlife-threatening part of her body as well. Babbitt did not pose a deadly threat to anyone at the time she was shot in the neck. While the officer’s action does not look malicious, the decision to shoot an unarmed trespasser in the neck was clearly a reckless use of unnecessary deadly force.
The real reason the left opposed Babbitt’s family receiving a settlement from the government is because she’s white and the war hero supported President Trump. If Babbitt was black and she was shot while not armed by a white officer the Democrats would be using the officer’s head without even knowing the facts. The left’s hatred of Trump and his movement, as well as whites in general, is on full display with these radicals’ disingenuous opposition to what is certainly a fair legal settlement. When Biden came into power the Democrats tried to use January 6th as a pretext to target Trump and his supporters with surveillance and long jail sentences, there was likely interference by the previous administration against settlements with people such as Babbitt’s family, this recent agreement by the Justice Department is yet important sign that the politicization of the rule of law has ended under President Trump.
