No Kings Protest Again Shows the Left’s Messaging Against Trump Remains Incoherent
The Democratic party has fallen apart since the 2024 election. In the lead-up to the November election, the left absurdly tried to wrap the party’s messaging around Harris and other Democratic candidates as being focused on defending democracy, defeating fascism, and saving the country from Trump and his MAGA Movement. When the President won both the popular vote and a landslide in the electoral college, this achievement didn’t just defeat Harris, Trump left a left-wing party that tried to represent MAGA as being a threat to Democracy without any message or purpose. The Democrats can no more call the 47th President a fascist or a threat to Democracy than the left can call the American people a threat to our Democratic institutions after the 2024 election.
Today’s Democratic party has an approval rating of just 30 percent. The left lacks clear leadership or any kind of substantive or real messaging in opposition to Trump and MAGA. The predictably heavily corporate financed no kings protest over the weekend again highlighted how devoid the Democratic opposition to the President is of any appeal to most of the country. When Trump was President in his first term, as disgusting as the lies and false truths the left and their allies in the media told about him, the Democrats still had a clear leader in Speaker Pelosi, and the party’s message trying to tie the President to Russia and paint him as a racist was coherent, even though these claims were obvious and complete lies.
The No Kings protest was a failure on all fronts. There were no speakers of any significant note who commanded significant attention, and the attempt to continue to paint Trump as a dictator or authoritarian leader was not persuasive at all. The President has faced more federal court injunctions blocking his agenda than any President in US history, Trump recently won a court case that enabled him to maintain control of the California guard, and the 47th President, who won both the electoral college and the popular vote, and he also faces a tough challenge in the Senate to get his spending bill he got passed that got through the House passed by by just 1 vote. The overwhelming majority of the legacy media remains controlled by the left as well, with CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC all still repeating Democratic propaganda constantly. Trump has faced more opposition to his first 100-day agenda than any President in US history despite strong support from the public for his priorities.
When the President on the popular vote the entire messaging of the Democrats was destroyed, and the left has not been able to pivot to any logical new talking points. Democratic leaders can no longer used the absurd pejoratives these pathetic individuals tried to smear Trump and MAGA with in the past like racist or fascist, without implying the American people support these hateful ideas. The left has also lost control of the narrative despite maintaining significant control of the legacy media, since what was formerly known as Twitter promotes free speech now and the country has lost confidence in the failing liberal press as well. The clear message sent by the country in the 2024 election was that America supports Trump and his agenda, and the Democrat’s refusal to accept the consequences of the recent vote again highlights how lost and out-of-touch today’s failing left is.
When Trump won the popular vote and an electoral landslide in 2024 the message was clear, the country supports the MAGA agenda and wanted both parties to work together to solve the many problems the country faces after 4 divisive years of failed leadership by Biden and Harris. Some Democrats, such as Senator Fetterman of Pennsylvania, and Governor of Whitmer, got the memo, but most of the left did not. The Democrats have backed themselves into a corner by gaslighting Trump for the last decade as being a threat to the country, and many on the left refuse to work with the man that these liars constantly referred to as an existential threat to the nation. Whether or not people like Trump and his movement, the core messaging of the President’s party is clear, he is committed to rebuilding the middle class and making the country great again, the Democratic party’s absurd focus over the weekend shows how lacking and pathetic the left’s overall argument against the current Republican party.
