On Iran, Tucker And Bannon Got Everything Wrong

Quite funny really.

One very intelligent friend of mine posts praising Tucker. Another very intelligent friend of mind posts praising Bannon.

It’s weird that Tucker and Bannon can call the Iran stuff so obviously and massively wrong and so obviously based on being exposed now as Jew haters who think all war is a Zionist plot and smart people can’t read what they have done and acknowledge that this destroys their credibility.

Both these guys got every single thing on Israel-Iran wrong. And they got every aspect of what Trump was doing wrong as well. They went straight to this is World War Three, or maybe paused one day for this is Iraq again, and the thing was over in 12 days. They went straight from alleging they back Trump and are MAGA, to Trump isn’t real MAGA and they are and Trump is George Dubya Bush.

And in the process they sounded just like AOC and backed Iranian mullahs.

And we are supposed to take Tucker and Bannon seriously still? Why?

What they exposed is that extreme isolationism is as stupid as extreme interventionism. That they are the other side of the same irrational coin as the neocon war mongers they oppose, both unable to read any conflict by individual context, both applying their absolutist and reductionist readings to every conflict.

And that US isolationists tend to hate Jews.

You can’t get away from that and it’s not a smear because you have to really really hate Jews to turn stunningly competent operations into, in your head, massively inept ones and to turn a very obvious necessity like stopping Iran having nukes into a malign conspiracy where even someone with a 40 year record of avoiding unnecessary conflict is someone you see as a Zionist puppet.

If anything can be criticised it’s that the Iranians were on the ropes and we called the fight off too quick. For fear of a long failure like Iraq, we withheld from a short and stunning success.

And now the regime is killing people again when it could be dead.

It’s dumb to create enemies, it’s dumb to fail in unnecessary wars. It’s also dumb to hold back from victory and refuse necessary triumphs.

Tucker and Bannon got everything wrong.
