Remember When Teachers Were “Good” Mentors?
As a kid growing up in public school, there were always teachers whom I liked or disliked. The ones I disliked weren’t radicals like far too many are today. No, the ones I didn’t like were stricter and more rigid than the others. Sure, some were downright boring, but as I look back on those days, boredom was harmless compared to the indoctrination that the propaganda pushers are jamming into young minds today.
In an attempt to be clever, an Indiana teacher wore an “8647” T-shirt on a school trip to Washington, DC.
In American slang, “86” means to refuse service to someone or to remove someone or something. It’s often used in restaurants or bars to indicate that an item is no longer available or that a customer is not to be served. The term can also be used in a broader sense to mean to get rid of or remove something.
Last month, James Comey, the slimy former director of the FBI, posted a picture on X of the numbers 8647 spelled out in seashells along with the caption: “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”

The post was met with loud condemnation and was criticized for being thoughtless and dangerous.
The radical in question is Tonja Luken, a teacher at MiddleburyComm1 in Indiana. Luken shared a now-deleted Facebook photo of herself and a colleague smiling in front of the Washington, DC, landmark during a trip with Middlebury Community Schools.
Let that sink in. This is a leftist who is so arrogant and hateful that she wore a t-shirt promoting the assassination of the president of the United States on a school trip. She then posted it on Facebook to highlight her ignorance.
Fortunately, not everyone is as stupid as Luken. Someone spotted the shirt and reported it, sparking an investigation by the Middlebury Community School System.
In a written statement, they condemned Luken’s decision to wear such a shirt on a school trip.
“Middlebury Community Schools owns policies that require teachers to refrain from using their position to promote partisan political views. This prohibition applies to all teachers regardless of their political leanings, and to every political message regardless of its content.”
A teacher openly promoting their political views has no place in the framework of education. However, openly insinuating that a president who was already struck by a bullet in one assassination attempt and had a second one thwarted should be eliminated is disgustingly criminal.
The left would love for everyone to believe that they are peace-loving, when the exact opposite is true. Just turn on the news today, and watch the riots in Los Angeles that leftist news networks are once again promoting as peaceful while fires burn and police and ICE agents are attacked.
Once exposed, Luken knew she would be fired and decided to resign instead. Her absence will not be missed. The phrase “Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish” perfectly encapsulates her resignation. You might say she was “86ed” by her own idiocy.
