The Left’s Failed Hit Pieces on Senator Fetterman Again Show the Changing Media Landscape
The left likes narratives more than facts. Today’s Democratic commentary on women supposedly making 80 cents on the dollar to men, blacks making less money than whites, or Trump’s nonexistent ties to Russia, never hold up under scrutiny. While conservatives rely on facts to make arguments, the left’s narratives can only be pushed if alternative viewpoints and opposing arguments are suppressed. There are very specific reasons why most of the heavily watched left-wing shows, like Rachel Maddow’s previous primetime hour, seldom have conservatives or even Democrats who don’t agree with the lies and innuendo the host is pushing.
Democrats have lost the ability to control the narrative. Today’s media landscape is much more decentralized than what the press was even 5 years ago, with Elon Musk buying what was previously known as Twitter, Podcasts becoming more popular, and the failing legacy media’s credibility at historic lows. The same Democratic lies and gaslighting that were often effective during President Trump’s successful first term are simply not working anymore. The fake stories and manipulating discussion about Trump’s comments on issues such as the conflict in Charleston where the President used the term both sides about people who want to take statutes down, not white supremacist groups.
The failed recent attempt by the Democrats and their left-wing allies in the media to takedown Pennsylvania Senator Fetterman, who has increasingly turned away from failing and extreme Democratic party that he doesn’t feel represents his state or his views, shows this as well. The Atlantic, CNN, and several other liberal media outlets tried to take down the moderate Democrat who has been willing to meet and work with Trump by rehashing tired and old stories about Fetterman’s already well-documented mental health struggles that appear to be in the past anyways. The notion that the same media that covered up Biden’s well-documented and severe mental health issues would have any credibility to call out cognitive issues is beyond absurd, and the stories about Fetterman did not even offer any new information beyond what was reported months ago.
Fetterman had a stroke before the Democratic primary for the US Senate, and he had severe speech issues several years ago, but those challenges appear to be in the past. The fact that the same media that had no problem with Fetterman running for office when he was having major health issues years ago now thinks he’s unfit for office with those problems in the past simply because he’s willing to work with a popular President who comfortably won the state he represents speaks volumes about today’s failing and corrupt Democratic party. The left came for Fetterman, but the nasty hit pieces simply did not land any significant blows, and the Pennsylvania Senator recently confidently proclaimed his intention to serve the remaining time left on his 6-year term.
There is an increasingly significant divide between Democratic politicians like Whitmer and Fetterman, who are from states Trump won twice in the last 3 Presidential election cycles, compared to the continued lying and nasty attacks from Democrats such as Senator Warren and Schiff, who are from states that tend to dislike the 47th President. Still, Fetterman and Whitmer are listening to voters, while most Democrats are ignoring the public, that’s why the Democratic party has a near 30 percent approval rating today. The failing left refuses to accept the reality of the press today, and these radicals’ nasty hit pieces simply aren’t having the same impact in a decentralized media environment.
