Why the Events Unfolding in LA County will likely Have a Critical Impact on the Big and Beautiful Bill
Trump has outmaneuvered the Democrats and the left’s allies in the failing liberal press at every turn since the 47th President announced his campaign for a second term. The President refused to partake in Republican primary debates that were clearly set to bring his popularity numbers down, opted out of a second debate with Harrs after ABC’s attempted ambush of him, and also avoided doing interviews with pathetic legacy media outlets such as 60 minutes in the weeks leading up to the critically important 2024 election as well. Trump learned from his first campaign and term from 2016 to 2020, and the President has been one step ahead of his adversaries in his second term.
The Biden regime opened the borders to try to manipulate the results of the 2024 election because the failing Democrats knew the party simply did not have the votes to beat the President in the critical swing states. While no one knows the exact number today, many experts put the number of illegal immigrants in the United States currently at around 20 million, with many in sanctuary cities that have no respect for the rule of law such as Los Angeles. While Trump and his deputies such as Tom Homan are committed to restoring order and deporting illegals, any national deportation effort would need massive funding from Congress.
This is why the events unfolding in LA County are going to be devasting for the left on many levels. The big and beautiful bill that passed the House but has not gone through the Senate yet is currently being debated, and part of these discussions are focused on how much funding ICE will receive for the deportations that are needed because of the failed open border policies of the corrupt and disgusting Biden regime. Trump sent in the National Guard and the marines because those actions were right, but what is happening in California will also have an important effect on the ongoing negotiations in Congress as well. The fact that left-wing agitators and even Democratic politicians themselves are willing to actively attack and endanger the lives of the brave men and women of ICE and law enforcement is showing the entire public the need for these agencies to receive the significant funding that the President has requested.
There is no better argument for the full funding of ICE than the barbaric and organized attacks in California that the nation has seen play out over the last several days. Immigration agents are going to in many cases likely need outside protection from other law enforcement agencies for the kind of larger-scale raids that are necessary, and with videos and pictures of people throwing bricks and cop cars and attacking ICE officials, the Republicans are literally letting the violent left-wing thugs make a case for them. There is an old saying that a picture says a thousand words and the videos showing the brutal violence aimed at law enforcement officials in the sanctuary city of LA are powerful evidence of the clear and present danger that ICE and other government agencies involved in deportations efforts are engaged in.
President Trump ran on the need to engage in national deportations, and he received a mandate by winning the popular vote and receiving a landslide victory in the Electoral College. The 47th President’s ability to deport illegals was always going to ultimately depend on public and Congressional support, and the sad and dramatic events that the whole nation is seeing in LA County are giving MAGA the public an even more compelling reason to pass the masterful new Republican spending bill with all of Trump’s critically important funding requests for ICE.
