Ana Navarro Just Showed You Everything Wrong With The American Left
In an amazing segment on CNN last night, the obnoxious ex-GOP talking head Ana Navarro, who either out of Trump Derangement Syndrome or simple political/media whoredom has become as noxious a convert to the cause of cultural Marxism as it’s possible to be, blurted out that the Trump administration’s muscular enforcement of our immigration laws against illegal aliens who have disrupted countless aspects of American life for years constitutes a “reign of terror.”
And when Republican political consultant Brad Palumbo attempted to politely dispute that histrionic nonsense as “hyperbolic,” here’s what Navarro said…
What to say about this?
Well, first, here is your intersectional cultural Marxist mentality in a nutshell.
Palumbo is wrong because he’s a white guy.
Navarro is a Latina, so she can say stupid things like deporting illegals is a reign of terror against Hispanic citizens of this country. What’s so pernicious about this is most American citizens of Hispanic descent will tell you their quality of life has been diminished by the presence of so many illegals (and the problems they bring with them) in their neighborhoods.
Those illegals don’t settle in the fancy neighborhoods the Ana Navarros of the world live in. So Ana Navarro doesn’t have to dodge the MS-13 and Tren de Aragua thugs, drug dealers and human traffickers like the Latinos in the barrios of the blue cities her Democrat friends control. But she’s going to allege a “reign of terror” over the enforcement of the laws, which is systematically removing the true source of the terror most Latinos feel in this country nonetheless.
It’s one of the most dishonest, pernicious and corrupt things we’ve heard on CNN’s air this year, which is saying a lot.
And you’ll notice that when Brad Palumo calls Navarro on that, even in the mildest way possible (hyperbolic is a wimp word for “total bullshit”), she gets to play the intersectional race card and tell him his opinion isn’t valid.
This is every college campus, it’s every legacy media conference room, it’s every institution the Left controls.
You are not allowed to reason through an argument, even or especially against an utterly absurd, bad-faith position, if you reside lower on the intersectional totem pole. Ana Navarro is morbidly obese, Hispanic and a woman, and so a white guy who can run a 100-yard dash without collapsing at the end has no status by which he can challenge her statement as hyperbolic.
She tells you this when she announces that she’s speaking as a Hispanic woman. That’s the virtue signal which ends the discussion.
It’s a separate language the Left speaks.
And it needs to be burned down to the foundation.
Not to preserve the white patriarchy. To preserve logic and reason.
Because you just saw, by the way host Abby Phillip stepped in to prevent Palumbo from dragging the conversation back to the absurd contention that ICE is terrorizing American citizens of Latin heritage, that what the intersectionalist struggle session against Brad The White Guy did was to cement the legitimacy of that stupidity.
Anybody not recognizing this will come away from the segment believing, because Palumbo was blocked from disputing it, that Hispanic America lives in fear of ICE officers making raids on their homes in between breaking up child slave labor cannabis plantations and cartel money laundering facilities.
You can’t run a civil society with these kinds of tactics being employed in what passes for legitimate debate. It doesn’t work, and it isn’t working.
A sane media would be done with Ana Navarro after last night. CNN is certainly not that.
