CBS Has No Reason To Keep Colbert Until May

Believe it or not, there was a time when late-night TV was enjoyable. Johnny Carson and David Letterman were entertaining, funny, informative, and at times groundbreaking by introducing new talent.

It’s tough to remember those times after suffering through the last decade with the mental midgets of Steve Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel. Political dissent was common on shows that aired during the day and eventually spread quickly into the prime-time hours, but until these two shmucks came along, late-night was virgin territory.

Unfortunately, that dissent turned to hatred since Trump’s election in 2016, and since then, it has become an inferno of division stoked by networks like CNN and shows like The View and Kimmel on ABC, and Colbert on CBS.

Frankly, I have no idea how The View has managed to survive this long. Led by the despicable, loud-mouthed Joy Behar, Predator doppelganger Whoopi Goldberg, and wannabe celebrity Sunny Hostin, whose empty-headed rants drain intelligence from any person who listens to them, the show does nothing but ooze vitriol toward common sense, conservative values, western culture, America, and President Trump specifically.

While the hosts of The View wallow in stupidity and social ignorance, Colbert and Kimmel brought the same seething hatred to their shows, wrapped in a veil of phony authority that was nothing more than pure arrogance.

Finally, someone at CBS had seen enough of Colbert’s act. The talentless clown was given his walking papers, but CBS, being the inept and slow-to-act network that it is, managed to do the right thing in the wrong way. Yes, they dropped the smug dork, but it isn’t effective until May of 2026, which gives him an open mic to intensify his disgusting act for another eight months, something America doesn’t need to suffer through.

True to form, Colbert returned to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” earlier this week for the first time since announcing the show would be canceled next spring. Even though the smug troll had plenty of time to reflect on his years on the show, he couldn’t muster up the slightest bit of humility or graciousness. Instead, he declared:

“The gloves are off. I can finally speak unvarnished truth to power and say what I really think about Donald Trump: I don’t care for him.”

While Colbert and other leftists want everyone to believe this was done for political reasons, that’s nothing more than another lie. The truth is, CBS, a network with a liberal agenda, carried this moron even though the show lost between $40 million and $50 million annually. That’s a hefty price to pay for illogical hatred, lies, and stupidity. Still, a dimly lit lightbulb finally illuminated the small mind of someone at CBS.

The talentless Colbert, whose only schtick was to criticize things he doesn’t understand, attacked Trump, who had justifiably posted an opinion on X concerning his firing.

Trump posted:

“I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”

Colbert, trying to play the victim, read the first line of Trump’s post and responded with false indignance and total disrespect for the President of the United States.

“How dare you, sir. Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism: Go f*ck yourself.”

This is the mentality of the liberal fascists that make up the Democratic Party. I don’t care who you are; you don’t disrespect the President of the United States by uttering those words. Colbert is nothing more than a punk who spent nine years inflicting his disgusting agenda on the public.

After reading more of Trump’s post, which said, “I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next.” The cancelled instigator once again went into victim mode.

“Nope! No, no. Absolutely not, Kimmel. I am the martyr, OK? OK? There’s only room for one on this cross, and I gotta tell you, the view is fantastic from up here!”

No matter how hard he tries, Colbert is not a victim in any sense of the word. His show was based on nothing but hatred and contempt for American values. Why CBS didn’t cancel this disgrace of a show years ago, only they can defend.

However, there is no defense for allowing this assault on the American public’s sensibilities to continue. Colbert is only going to get worse. He is a moron who now has no guardrails. His firing needs to be effective immediately; otherwise, the CBS decision makers will have lost what little respect the country has left for them.

ABC should take advantage of this opportunity. The View is now on “hiatus,” that’s a shutdown they should never be allowed to return from.
