Michigan’s Hypocrisy Unmasked Over Masks
By this time, I shouldn’t be surprised by anything that certain states dream up. California, New York, Michigan, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and others are pure liberal fascists that, if it weren’t for bad ideas, they wouldn’t have any ideas.
Michigan Democrats have hitched their wagon to a train of deceit, along with other losers from California, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania who have introduced legislation to ban ICE agents from wearing masks. Michigan, though, has deposited its head even further into the state’s metaphorical gastrointestinal tract by calling for jail time for violators.
We’ve all seen the news, so it’s no secret that when making busts, ICE officers wear plain clothes and wear masks. They do this so neither they nor their families can be identified or targeted when they are off duty by open border radicals.
Let that sink in. ICE puts their lives on the line every day enforcing the laws of the United States of America. They are harassed every step of the way by leftist fascists, and Michigan wants to endanger them even further by exposing them to more dangerous liberal madness.
The Democrats’ high horse indignance is stomach-churning. The things they say are so ingenuine only the brain dead would believe them. However, Michigan House Democrats contend these “secret police” practices generate fear, remove accountability, and create an unnecessary risk for the community and other law enforcement.
Yet in every leftist parade in any of these states, the thugs are always wearing masks, and no one is ever arrested, even when they are looting, rioting, and burning down public property.
The Bill is sponsored by state Rep. Betsy Coffia, D-Traverse City, who opened her idiotic mouth and vomited out this hypocritical beauty, “justice needs no masks.”
“For the average person, these incidents look like violent kidnappings. With this new federal tactic of wearing masks with no identification, there is no way for the public, the people being accosted or grabbed or even local law enforcement and local, state elected leaders to know who these folks are.”
Boo Hoo.
Coffia’s bill closely resembles legislation that was introduced in the U.S. Senate earlier this month by Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin. This proposed law would ban immigration enforcement officers, including those from ICE and Border Patrol, from wearing non-medical face coverings. Additionally, it would require these officers to display identification that includes their agency name, badge number, or both.
President Donald Trump criticized Rep. Elissa Slotkin, along with Senators Alex Padilla of California and Cory Booker of New Jersey, who co-introduced the bill.
“They wouldn’t be saying that if they didn’t hate our country, and they obviously do. These officers are doing a tremendous job. They’re great patriots. If you expose them because of statements like have been made by Democrats and others on the left, usually mostly, I think, probably exclusively, you put them in great danger, tremendous danger.”
The proposed mask and identity concealment ban in Michigan would apply to all local, state and federal law enforcement operating in the state but includes provisions for covert operations and masking for officer safety.
Violating the proposed law would be a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
This bill has a snowball’s chance in hell of passing, but that isn’t the point. The fact that any state, knowing that ICE is doing its job, whether you agree with it or not, is acting to protect the United States from those who are here illegally, should be held responsible for wasting taxpayers’ money and legislative time in the pursuit of political propaganda.
The proposed law requires law enforcement officers to display their name or badge number, as well as the full name or initials of their agency, while interacting with the public during their duties. Any attempt to conceal their identity, such as wearing a mask, would violate this requirement.
The prohibition will not apply to undercover operations, where officers must conceal their identity or purpose to investigate and gather evidence of criminal activity.
Additionally, officers are permitted to wear masks to prevent the transmission of airborne diseases, to protect themselves from airborne toxins, and to ensure their safety in high-risk situations. These situations include shootouts, standoffs, hostage scenarios, terrorist incidents, and more.
Then this total desecration of the truth.
Coffia said ICE’s use of concealment has led to increased incidents of people committing crimes while pretending to be a law enforcement officer.
Law enforcement hiding their identity deviates from common state and local police practices in Michigan and is more akin to what would be seen in an authoritarian country.
Really, only if people like you have your way.
“The migrant workers and their families, who for generations have worked with our local farmers and harvested and fed our communities and our country, are living in fear today. They are living in fear of being targeted by masked, unidentified armed men in unmarked vans who we are seeing the media of people being snatched all over the country.”
This is nothing but hogwash. We are the United States of America. If you want to immigrate here, do so legally. ICE is targeting the worst first; the rest will come later, but if another illegal or illegals happens to be with one of the worst, then they are deported to.
The Democrats who are backing these bills are not only exhibiting hatred for America, they are trying to make it law. Their intent is clear; our country’s laws and integrity mean nothing to them.
