The Democrats Pathetic Final Attempt to Obstruct the Republican Spending Again Shows a Broken Party
Every once in a while there is a sign of the times. When certain events or situations present themselves, these occurrences seem to be uniquely representative of the current political environment. While some on the left, such as Governor Whitmer and Senator Fetterman, have made a conscientious effort to work with the President, most Democrats continue to oppose everything the popular President says and does. The fact that Democrats would not even stand for a child cancer survivor at the State of the Union was one sad reminder of this pathetic fact.
The country sent a clear message in the 2024 election. America supports Trump and the MAGA agenda. When the President won a landslide in the electoral college and the popular vote, he earned a mandate from the country. The nation wants Democrats and Republicans to work together to solve the many challenges the US faces after 4 long and failed years of the Biden regime. With Trump having been in office now for less than a year, the recent debate over Republicans’ massive new spending bill was the first time for the left to show how the party would approach a second term of the 47th President.
Even though many Democrats support major parts of the new Republican bill, including the expanded child tax credit and incentives for US companies to invest and create jobs in America, no 1 person on the left was willing to cross the aisle to support this critically important piece of legislation. Still, the most pathetic efforts were the actions of minority leaders Senator Schumer and Congressmen Hakeem Jeffries over the last 2 days. Senator Schumer stripped the name, the big, beautiful bill, of the piece of legislation, and Jefferies has decided to use the final minute before the passage of the bill to speak for endless hours in a weak effort to grandstand for the media and the Democrats’ increasingly small political base.
Today’s Democratic party has reduced itself to petty and weak games, such as changing the names of bills that are going to pass, and giving meaningless speeches before the legislation passes. The left isn’t willing to work with Republicans on key issues that even most Democrats agree with Republicans on, and this same failed and radical Democratic party has also put forward no alternative bill either. The Democrats had their chance to pursue the party’s agenda when the left was in control prior to 2024, and the Democratic Party prioritized climate change. Republicans are focusing on rebuilding the middle class. The Big and Beautiful Bill will rebuild the military, enable necessary deportations of people here illegally, provide significant incentives for US companies to make American energy independent, and create jobs here at home. The legislation also provides critically important incentives for families with provisions such as the child tax credit being bolstered. This bill shows that Trump’s and the Republicans’ priorities are in line with the American people, who put them in power.
The Reagan Democrats are Trump Republicans now. The working class of his country is with the 47th President, and the contrast between the big and beautiful and the Democrats’ disgusting so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which focused on climate change and created massive inflation, again showed how out-of-touch the Left is with most of America today. Obama and Pelosi made the Democratic party one of coastal elites, and the left is more focused on representing illegal immigrants than trying to make life easier for middle and working-class families. The opposition to Trump is broken in many ways, and the recent pathetic and futile efforts by the Left to obstruct the Republican bill are yet another reminder of this clear truth.
