This Is Why It’s Not Called “Bath, Body, And Brains” Works

I can’t wait until these types of stories are a thing of the past. Stories about corporations that infringe on one person’s rights to appease those with mental disorders who have chosen to live outside the realm of reality.

If you really think these types of situations through, the entire concept of considering biological females who want to believe they’re male and vice versa as normal is mind-bogglingly ridiculous. It goes against every biological and scientific truth, and therefore, it refutes logic and reality. This is a delusion that should be treated for what it is, a mental illness. These people should never be encouraged, and certainly not emboldened; they are delusional, and others need not be forced into participating in that delusion.

Bath and Body Works is one such corporation that still hasn’t grasped the idea that you can’t force someone to worship at the LGBTQ altar. They will learn, though.

The company is currently facing a federal lawsuit regarding the termination of a store manager in Layton, Utah. The manager, Jocelyn Boden, claims she was fired after refusing to address a transgender employee by their preferred pronouns.

Boden filed a discrimination charge last week with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after her termination in May, where she had been employed for three and a half years.

Boden, a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stated in her complaint that she felt “chastised and alienated” by co-workers after she refused to address a new transgender employee by her preferred pronouns. Boden explained that she addressed the biological female co-worker, who identified as male, by her chosen name; however, due to her religious convictions, she could not refer to the co-worker using male pronouns.

Ms. Boden and the new employee only worked together for one day. When she declined to use male pronouns, a complaint was filed with human resources for “misgendering” the employee. She was accused of gender identity discrimination and subsequently fired.

Boden was open to using any name or nickname, but she stated that her religious beliefs prevented her from using male pronouns when addressing a woman. First Liberty Institute is representing Boden, claiming that Bath and Body Works violated her religious rights as outlined under Title VII.

Stephanie Taub, Senior Counsel for First Liberty, stated the case very succinctly.

“No one should be forced to choose between their job and their faith. Forcing employees to violate their conscience and religious beliefs is a violation of the federal Civil Rights Act.”

The institute claims that the company also violated the Utah Anti-Discrimination Act by retaliating against Boden for expressing her religious beliefs.

“Bath and Body Works could have easily worked with Jocelyn and offered an accommodation, but instead they chose to violate federal and state law and fire her.”

First Liberty reports that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has recently issued two guidelines clarifying legal protections for Americans who face discrimination under the pretext of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI), as was the case with Boden.

The EEOC emphasized that there is no exception to federal law regarding DEI initiatives, which require equal protection for all groups and individuals, including those with religious beliefs.

In an op-ed for The Hill, Taub explained:

“For religious Americans, this guidance signals a new receptivity within the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to legitimate claims of religious discrimination.”

A Bath and Body Works spokesperson told Fox News Digital:

“Bath and Body Works complies with all laws concerning employment practices. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate in our management of our associates on the basis of any protected status.”

According to the documents filed, the company terminated Boden for violating its code of conduct. This code explicitly prohibits any unwanted behavior directed at an individual based on their sex, which includes sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or transgender status.

“Jocelyn admitted to this behavior and shared with multiple parties that she refused to use correct pronouns. As a result of this investigation, and her admittance, we are making the decision to part ways and end their employment effective immediately,” her termination notice states.

The problem with “Bath and Body Works” interpretation of this supposed code of conduct is that it only serves one party in the disagreement, and it is the person defying normalcy.

The reason this woke company isn’t named “Bath, Body, and Brains” is that they don’t have any brains. If they did, they would have worked this out.

Bath, Body, and No Brains Works LLC achieved a 100 percent score for creating an inclusive workplace from the Human Rights Campaign in 2025 and was recognized as a leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

Which only goes to prove that you can be 100 percent correct in doing the wrong thing. Instead of wearing that recognition as a badge of honor, the company should wear it as a group of scarlet letters as a sign of their ignorance.
